Hi all,

Well, I've just had some blood test results back, and it looks like my kidneys

are just about back to the point that they were before I got the cellulitis. My

creatinine was 0.85 mg/dl, my creatinine clearance was 114, my urea was 5.2, my

potassium was 4.7, and my hemoglobin was borderline this time round. I'm just so

happy that everything is getting back to normal. Hopefully, I won't have any

more scares with the kidneys again too soon!

Wow. You've got pretty much 100% kidney function. I would have to go back to

1976 for numbers like that.

Hi Janie,

I am so thankful that your Dad's surgery went so well. Times like that tend

to make us quickly aware of all that is really important in life...and that

is the people and the relationships above all else.

Connie, I am sorry to hear about you losing your dad at such a young age.

Your email touched me and made me want to go visit my dad who is now 75 years

old. I always tell him how much I love him each time I see him, but that

isn't often enough, and your email brought that point home.

Thanks,

Oh Janie,

That sounds perfectly awful to be itching like that. I had an allergic

reaction to something last week and had hives that itched like crazy on my

legs last week, but I am sure it was not related to IgAN because it was

definitely an allergic reaction for me. Hope it gets better soon!
