Guest guest
Hi all....so today was the day i got my results of the scan they did Tuesday....The lump is nothing....hear that??????? NOTHING!!!! I am so happy right now....you know how you have these awful imaginings of something really bad....report said yep it's a goiter, yep, more than one nodule...but no hot spots or cold spots...So unless it really bothers me or something we can just leave it be....Should be pretty easy to guess what decision i made...lol....he did say since i am still having some symptoms of a thyroid problem...messed up periods, fatigue, nervousness.....said my labs the first time (TSH, T4, T3) all came back in the normal range...but in the high end of the normal range...so of course since i was armed with info from this group i asked about the antibodies tests...he looks at me and says that's what i wanted to do next...ha...beat him to it...anyway....after 4 more vials of blood...they are going to run the TSH, the T3, the T4 (which they said are both free)..to see if they changed any.....he is also adding the TPO Antibodies and the Thyroglobulin antibodies tests....says he is hoping these 2 will tell him more of whats going on....I don't really understand what the next step would be according to the results of these...and i know he explained why they are important to do...but geez...can only absorb so much info at a time...so now any info on the antibodies tests will be appreciated....He said these tests take longer to do so i probably won't get the results back until towards the end of next week... he actually told me i can get the results over the phone, a little tired of spending so much time there...lol...but he will also fax the results to me...Told him i want a copy of EVERYTHING...hey my body...my info...I want it...at least he has no problem with that...to me...this guy seems to be on the ball....so after writing way more than i planned to the end result is my mind is now at ease of a lump in my neck....Thanks for listening to me ramble...and rejoice...look at it this way, at least i'm not ranting and venting...lol.....Thanks so much for the support so far...didn't feel so lost....thats a change...joke there...lol....Debbie

Guest guest
, I am assuming that those antibody tests they are doing should tell me why i have a goiter...Shouldn't they???? Sure hope so....i would also like to know why.....And yes i do feel really good...for the results...cancer runs so high in my family that i of course was imagining the very worst....i would like to feel better as far as the symptoms go...but hey....any good feeling i take while i can...never know when you'll get another one....Debbie....P.S. When i get those results can i ask the favor of you such knowledgeable people here helping me figure them out???? Thanks.....always seemed to be needing help lately.... > You should never feel bad that you feel good. I'm just wondering why you > have a goiter----there's got to be some reason for that. Guest guest
I know what you mean. If it weren't for these sites, I wouldn't be beginning to figure out what all is the matter with me. I'm in the process of getting a couple more tests run that could tell over 50% what MAY have been going on with me for the past 3 to 4 yrs. We'll see. Be sure and tell us what's going on.
