Sure Carol, preheat oven at lowest temp (140/150 Celsius). Find a metal cup that is high enough for your butter, but also small enough to pour from. Toss butter in metal cup, put in the oven and take out after 45 minutes. GENTLY pour out the golden fat into a container with lid. You need to be sure that the white residue stays on the bottom of the cup, this is what you throw away (unless someone can tell me what to use it for?). Store in the fridge. My son is very sensitive to any kind of dairy and we have used homemade ghee since dec. 2000. Never a problem.
