Hi All!

Haven't posted in a while, but Hannah is doing great! We started

TTFD and glutathione creams, and B-12 injections. With that came

soem back tracking in our " stool situation " . I started her on

Kirkman DPP-IV enzymes and it has helped. Anyway, on another note, I

recall dseeing a place where you could order pecan flour in 25 pound

batches and for the life of me cannot remember where! Can anyone

direct me there or somewhere?

I just want to say that Hannah has been so HAPPY! I KNOW SCD is the

answer! I love this diet and feel like EVERYONE should do it! I

hipe to keep providing good news! Hope everyone has a GREAT holiday!

God Bless us and our children!

With Love,

Brandee Simmang

mom to Hannah,33 months, PDD-Vaccine Injured, SCD since Sept 30th!

please do write about hiding veggies! I'm going to have to do a lot of this.

Thanks!

pecan flour

Where is the best place to order pecan flour? I'm going to try taking my son

off nut flour for several days at least, and then will try the pecan flour

first. He still is having some bad gas (though vastly reduced from before the

diet), as well as some difficult behavior at school and difficulty

concentrating. His stools are formed (as they have been for years) but they are

sort of light brown and smooth, with specks in them that could be undigested

nuts. He has been on the diet for 5 weeks or so, but we just started the intro

the day after Christmas, so maybe he needs more time before nut flours? I just

would like some confirmation that I'm reading these signals correctly. I rarely

get to see my son's poops, as he is 11 now, but the toilet happened to be

stopped up last night!

He is eating meats and fish, a little fruit and honey, a little yogurt hidden

in the gelatin squares, and whatever veggies I can hide in his food, in addtion

to the nut flours and nut butters. In fact, when I have a free moment I will

write about hiding the veggies, because my son will not touch them alone but I

have been pretty successful in getting him to eat some good quantities of

carrots, green beans, zucchini, and butternut squash.

Thanks,

Hide veggies in pancakes, meatloaves, muffins,( squash or carrots) even cakes

(carrot and zucchini) puddings (also called kugels). I'll bet they can also

be incorporated into crackers and cookies. Mix zucchini noodles in with eggs,

chicken just about any savory. They are super good.
