Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I hope all of you are doing well. I went to the doctors yesterday and they have decided to try Enbrel. I'm sure all of you already know what it is. It's used mostly on RA patients. They're trying to get approval from my insurance company right now. I've got my fingers crossed. The one thing that was stressed to me, that if I had anything in my body that shouldn't be there, this drug will bring it out. My Catscans will be bumped up from 3 months to 2 months. I'm very excited about this so I hope it works for me. Connie, I also talked to the doctors about the treatment your receiving and I have to say they are not in favor of it. Apparently another patient also wanted their input on the subject and it was discussed with the board members and other research centers. They are against the overuse of antibodies to begin with since these drugs may be needed down the road at some point in time. They are unable to find any reports that back up the use of this antibiotic for myositis. But, whatever works for you and you feel comfortable with it .... then go for it. Hope you all have a great day Vicki
