Guest guest
Hi All, Happy New Year! Just thought I would post regarding Hannah and her progress. She has been on SCD for 3 months now. She is doing great!!!! We are also doing some supps, chelation thru ttfd, glutathione & b-12 injections. We started enzymes and felt we saw some major improvements in mood and stools. The mood has remained good, but not the stools. However, after reading the posts I will forego enzymes for now. Anyway, I say we have been scd for 3 months, but all Hannah would eat was almond flour bread (with chicken and veggies pureed and hidden within), well this week I stuck to my guns and MADE her eat a little chicken. Then toady I " re-introduced " green beans and the kiddo could not get enough! I know it doesn't sound like much, but her picky eating has been such a source of stress for me! Especially when her little stools looked like undigested almond flour! ugh! Anyway, I am so happy that I had to sahre! Also, she is just becoming a regular little " chatter box " ! Different words are popping out everyday - not as consistently as I want, but hey you gotta start somewhere! It's so obvious that her progress is TOTALLY connected to her gut health. That is why we KNOW this is the right diet for Hannah! We ordered some pecan flour, but it hasn't come in yet, but I am anxious to give that stuff a try and see if it's easier for her to digest...if anyone has any suggestions send them my way!!!!:-) Now, for you veterans. We have been on SCD for 3 months and I am thinking of trying the goat yogurt. I have to admit, I am concerned because Hannah was one of those kiddos with high D-lactate. So, the subject of probiotics, yogurts, etc. has been a confusing and worrisome one for me. So, if anyone has any advice I would love to hear from you! Thanks for listening and all the support!
