We have a gentle, lovely, chiropractor who does cranio-sacral therapy on my son.

She has training for pediatrics and has been to the Upledger Institute. If I

remember correctly, the cranio-sacral was supposed to be gentler than cranial

osteopathy. I'd get someone well-trained with sufficient experience -- and with

regard to pediatrics for both.

Yes, this has been covered by our commercial insurance, 26 visits per year, I

think, subject to the usual deductible and co-pay stuff.

Sorry to keep bothering you, but did you have to get your pediatrician refer

you to the Chiro and if so what code did they write on the referral??

If this helps, we are using Dr. Tortu in NJ with great results! To check his

credentials, see www.drtotu.com for comparison. Funny, but we did CST with a

chiro first and I think the DO is gentler than the chiro, so it must vary a

lot. Do your HW. Also, Dr. Tortu is covered by our insurance as well (80-20%).

We have a PPO (preferred provider network), so if you don't use an in-network

person, it reverts to the standard 80/20 or whatever; hence, no referral for

that. I don't know if his Medi-caid secondary would cover it at all. If it

did, for than we'd probably need a referral.
