Personal opinion here.. if you're concerned with the switch over from pm

to am... make tonight's pm dose 1/2 of normal.. the first morning dose a

full dose.. then next night that other half dose.. then just regular

morning doses.... from then on...

just a suggestion...

Yes, and our residents at the facility where I work are getting their

thyroid served to them at breakfast. It makes me so mad because when I say

anything about it, no response.

My opinion only: Since T4 is the storage hormone, I really don't think that

there is going to be a jolt, simply from changing the time all at once, on

one dose of this thyroid med. I don't believe that it will impact like a

dose of T3 would, or Armour (with T3).

Horrible!

Oh no, Lord have mercy! They can't be THAT ignorant. I KNOW that in

Med-Aide school, they ARE taught the difference, and I KNOW that in medical

school, the docs DO learn the difference. This is pure carelessness!

I frankly think that the push for time has more than anything to do with it, plus, as I said, the ignorance around here is unbelievable. Many suggestions like that I make get poo-pooed because I'm just a CNA, right?

Re: Re: Thyroid med question??

It would not be too bad if they got their dose adjusted to allow for that. . . .. well, maybe that is too muc to hope for. . .
