Sandy: I'm not sure about the bloating, as I didn't have that problem. I think most of us have had problems with Candida; Dr. Blais found it in my implants. There are tests your doctor can do (blood and stool), but you really need to be following a low-carb diet like Maker's Diet regardless. No, I wouldn't recommend beans and corn as they're high on the glycemic index (high carb). I know, it's tough to find much you can eat that's not a problem. Just eat lots of green vegetables and healthy protein, organic if possible (I know, it's expensive). Definitely avoid sugar and things like bread and pasta and limit or eliminate fruit, at least at first. The Primal Defense and grapefruit seed extract you're doing are good. It's best to try the natural remedies before getting a prescription such as Nystatin, Diflucan, or Sporanox, because

they're tough on the liver and you want avoid toxic prescription drugs if you can. That said, I ended up having to do all three of them myself at different times. My stomach bloated out, I looked pregnant!... and it HURT so badly! The ONLY thing that helped was: Continual use of Primal Defense/Fungal Defense, Caprylic Acid, and cutting out things that were hard to digest (even too much veggies). The food would just sit in my stomach for HOURS! I remember eating broccoli, and 16 hours later being soooo full, and STILL burping up broccoli! Probably all the yeast in my gut... fermentation and such! Disgusting!

Oh... and Colonics were a GOD SEND, temporarily anyway! They REALLY did help! When I would get so bloated i thought i was going to pop, i would go have one done. Wow...this is bringing back memories! My stomach would hurt so bad, I would wrap a back brace around it to give it support. I felt like it was LITERALLY going to " pop " open!

Occasionally i get a little bloated here and there, but NOTHING like before. I've also studied up on " food combining " ... from the " Body Ecology Diet " . That worked wonders, too!

It'll take a good solid year (I pray not)... but for me it did. Now, my stomach's much better... BUT my other symptoms are much worse! ....Go FIGURE! lol!

Sandy . . . I don't know whether the fungal problems start with contaminated implants, or because their immue systems are worn down from fighting implants, or if it's the medications most of us have taken due to implant problems . . . or a matter of diet. Maybe all of us, in this overly herbicided, pesticided, antibioticed, pasturized, hormoned, processed and medicated world have fungal problems. It may be that when one gets sick (for whatever reason), that we need to address these fungal issues so our body can get the required nutrients to heal. . . Since we're not scientists, and can't do the studies, we don't know. . . All we know is that women who take responsibility for getting fungal issues under control, who detox and follow a healthy diet do very well. . . . Dr. Kolb's protocol targets all three categories. I wish we did have some hard science to

prove this! . .. Unfortunately, the appears to be more money to make by treating sick people than by charging them with doing the things it takes to get well. Hugs, Rogene

Sandy, Not all women suffer from candida issues, but many of them do. In some women it is hard to detect, and others it is almost a sure thing, especially if they have thrush. But candida symptoms overlap those of many other conditions. It is controversial for this reason. Some doctors don't acknowledge candida issues when they are staring them in the face, because they are just plain ignorant about them. Other doctors want to blame candida on everything. The truth probably lies somewhere in the middle. Candida is hard to actually test for. Probably a stool culture will work best. There are thousands of strains of candida, so it is rarely ever tested by regular labs. A specialized lab would be a better choice. I wouldn't say that this is the reason for looking pregnant...but it may be part of it. I think it may have to do with an upset

digestive system that needs to be treated with tender care, and especially lots of probitoics, like kefir, yogurt and other fermented foods. Probably the best way to consume Bragg's Apple Cider vinegar is highly diluted with water...like 1 Tablespoon in 1 glass water. You may use it as a dressing (as in oil and vinegar), but I don't think using it straight is a good idea! Yucky. Here is what I put in my salads: Romaine lettuce Black olives Green olives tomato onion (green, red, spanish) cucumber raw milk cheese chunks green pepper, red pepper pepperoncini's Canned kidney beans should be okay, and you can even make a 3 or 4 bean salad with vinegar and seasonings. Corn on the cob should be okay if you don't have any

corn allergies, but I would also be careful about what kind of corn it is. I think alot of corn these days is GMO foods (genetically modified), and that gives me the creeps. I look for organic. I grew up in the midwest surrounded by corn fields, so I ate alot of corn as a kid... now I hardly do. It's sad. If you are on a budget, don't throw away your canned foods. Use them up, but begin looking for substitutes for those items, such as frozen foods, or fresh where you can. Sandy or , What about using enzymes? I think they are greatly overlooked. Have you tried Omegazyme from Garden of LIfe? That is what I use, and I believe they greatly assist in digestion when taken during a meal, and help with inflammation when taken between meals. , your posts are extremely helpful! Thank you so much for sharing your experiences! Patty Shoham <resultsbyrachel@...> wrote: My stomach bloated

My doctor just ran an antibody test for Candida antibodies.

Of course, I had never heard of this...but the test was negative.

I think she was testing to see if I had developed an allergy to

Candida...

Well, you can't really develop an allergy to candida....candida is present in every person..the problem comes from it getting out of control and taking over where it should be benign and quiet. Candida can mutate into more virulent forms, so it is important to keep those little buggers under control and that is done with probiotics and anti-candida fighters like garlic and caprylic acid. ummmm...I don't know about this Patty. The information I have says

yeast is a form of fungi. I know my blood test could test for

reactions to certain fungi.

Yes, candida exists naturally in our bodies. But when it is out of

control....your body reacts. This topic is probably too broad to

discuss here. Candida and a persons reaction to it is implicated in

chronic psoriasis, skin rashes and all sorts of yucky things.

She definitely tested for it....and told me yesterday the test was

negative. If people are interested, I can ask her the name of the

test.

I know that we react to candida...I am just not sure that it could correctly be called an allergy. When we have a bacterial infection, we don't say we are allergic to the bacteria!
