Guest guest
Nan, I try to follow Dr. Kolb's diet, but I was like you and didn't understand. www.plastikos.com I have had people help me with this and they tried to make it simple for me to understand. They said, eat nothing white, so no potato's, no pasta, no dairy, etc. I find myself starving these days, so I do eat salmon, chicken, salad, vegetables (soaked in lemon juice and salt water first to kill pesticides) I do not drink fruit juice, but I bought a juicer from walmart $30.00, cheapest one, it works great. Not daily but sometimes I will juice one orange, one pear and one banana, get cold then drink. I know we are not suppose to eat citrus fruits. But I want the vitamin C, so diluted with pear and banana. This is not daily. Sometimes!!!!! I know if you drink store bought juice full of sugar. I also juice carrots and celery. I plan to order the "Maker's Diet" Apple a Day and Beyond to find more stuff to eat. I drink lots of water. When I crave sugar I run for fresh veggies. (sometimes snap and eat fruity pebbles, then pay dearly next day or for a week) I am still working on my diet and did create a recipe on my own for chicken.......... I boil my chicken until very tender Then take a skillet put small amount of olive oil (virgin) Then put two cloves of garlic Some lemon pepper Brown on each side and it is so yummy ( Don't even know if I am allowed to eat this it just taste so good and totally delicious) I am sorry I can't help you more but truthfully I am still learning. I just don't eat sugar and I have stevia that I substitute for sugar, yet scared sometimes to use that. Maker's Diet the book was like $13.00 and Rogene said if you call in to order extra 10% off. Good Luck to You!!!!!! I would love it if someone would make a list of stuff we can eat, for us starving kids in new guinea. Hold us off until we can afford this book....... God Bless ~
Guest guest
Rogene, Thanks for this post. I have access to all the free organic eggs I want feed with grains and grass so best eggs to eat. I was told NO EGGS. Thanks for EGGS.... I wish I had list of does I can figure out the don't eats, but the do eats is still hard. I was eating the tuna packets, not the cans they have packets. Then I seen a post that took my Tuna so went back and bought the salmon packets, this has lots of omega 3 oils, I need so desperate for dry skin. I like the post for our diet this helps so much. Thanks Again. ~
Guest guest
-Thanks ! so it sounds like your family still eats regular junk and you don't? What diet are you on, I think this is going to be important for me, I have to quit eating all this junk. I have already given up most sugar but still eat a lot of processed food, really don't know what else to eat! Guest guest
Nan, Cooking from scratch isn't hard at all ... I laughed last week when I gave our left-over salad fixings to one of our friends . . she said she wasn't sure if knew how to cook them . . . All she needed to do was to chop the veggies. They eat out all the time . . . and take their medications to make up for it. Just walk through the produce and meat departments of the grocery store and find some things you like . . . You might be able to find ground Bison in WalMart's meat department. Use it as you would hamburger. You can cook them with a little oil (coconut oil is good), until done and eat. . Simple! Eat as many salads as you can . . . . lightly steam the veggies you won't eat raw. (A double boiler helps here. . .put some water in the bottom, veggies on top to steam) . . . There are some good whole grain cereals and breads - and eat a lot of eggs! . . . go for the natural ones though. Buy Butter instead of margarine . . . sea salt instead of table salt . . . Once you have fungal organisms under control, you can sweeten a little with a little honey or real maple syrup. Rubin's "The Maker's Diet" has a lot of good ideas and some recipes. He carries it to an extreme that would be hard to manage . . . but use it as a guideline to get started. . . Once you feel better, you'll feel motivated to go further. Rogene Re: hi guys, just got back from out of town and unfortuna... -Thanks ! so it sounds like your family still eats regular junk and you don't? Guest guest
Eggs got a bad rap for some time because of they are high in cholestrol . . . but according to Rubin, they're healthy food if they're not full of hormones and antibiotics. A friend whose family has a chicken farm (raises eggs to be hatched into egg laying hens) tells me that she would never eat one of their own chickens or eggs - after seeing what they are fed. Rogene Re: Re: hi guys, just got back from out of town and unfortuna... Rogene, Thanks for this post. I have access to all the free organic eggs I want feed with grains and grass so best eggs to eat. Guest guest
The only thing I have been able to find about popcorn is that if you have diverticulitis, you should make sure to chew the kernels really well, even though there is not any proven evidence of danger. Haven't found much beyond that~ Bindi Re: hi guys, just got back from out of town and unfortuna... -Yep, Sounds so familiar!!!! Guest guest
-I'm with ya on the popcorn snack, Bindi! It's amazing what different flavors and toppings one can create! My favorite is Garlic and Dill - yes, I actually chop up raw garlic, toss it in and chop fresh or frozen dill (my Mom puts some away for me in her freezer when she harvests her dill in the summer - thanks Mom!) ...mmmmh, yummy. I'm pretty " stinky " later, but parsley seed capsules Asure and a stainless steel knife to run my fingers along, and voila! Smells not so bad! (To me it's a good smell, as I was raised Ukrainian style! LOL) I came across a gourmet garlic site on the net last year...these people are serious about their garlic. Even talked about the different garlic breath, from different types of garlic! Ha Ha! Now that's serious....lol Love ya lots, Sunny xo - In , " freebindi " <bindi@...> wrote: > > I eat popcorn to satisfy my snack cravings.
