2006 APCO Conference location

Breaking News!

The APCO staff has suggested ORLANDO for the 2006 International conference!

It will be voted on by the board tomorrow.

Apparently only gulf coast regions cities were in the running. The final two

were San and Orlando.

One factor cited for the choice was cost savings by staff travel from APCO's

world headquarters in Daytona, Florida. My guess is NENA's successes there

this year didn't hurt in making that decision. APCO also noted that Orlando

is a world destination and hopes to have much international attendance.

I'll let ya know if I hear when it is official
