PattiSue,

How your body reacts during ovulation or menstrual cycle seems to vary from woman to woman.. I never really had any problems until after my RAI and going hypo.... One thing that really seemed to help with my cramps, and moods was that I stopped using commercial products (pads and tampons).

When you have a bit of time pop over to this site.. and do a wee bit of reading.. It might not be something that you are interested in trying... but I swear by it.

http://pacificcoast.net/~manymoons/howto.html

I used the instructions from the site to make my own pads. I was a tampon user. Oh my gosh.. I just had to check the date on that.... I've been using washable pads for over a year now... My periods cause ZERO discomfort now....

I bring this up, I'll keep this brief, there is more info on the site, because of the chemicals that are used in feminine hygiene products and what these chemicals can cause for some women... allergic like reactions... itching, heavy flow, spotting leading to flow.... ooopss... I promised to keep it short....

One last comment. For a larger sized gal that is always having accidents during sleep or needing to get up during the night to change.... making your own pads means that you can make them the size to FIT you.... I can now sleep through the night without having to 'nap' so that I can get up to change. They also have a product to replace tampons that offers a chemical free solution for those that don't like pads.

.... end of 'whatever this was'... heheheh sorry.. but, well, it was an improvement to my life, for something that only became an issue after I became hypo.

Hi all, This is my first post for this group. I have enjoyed reading many other posts, thanks!!

I was doing really well on my diet/excersize program. Well...I wasn't really dieting hard, but working out hard. I've been doing slim in 6 and Walk Away the Pounds both. Not at the same time...alternating days. Anyway....I was firming up, losing inches not so much the pounds. Easter I did indulge a little and gained 6 pounds!!!!! I am so frustrated with this metabolism. I also bloat when ovulating. I have horrible cramps (always have) and everything feels so swollen and painful for about 5 days. It got worse after my tubes were tied. It used to only last one day. Does anyone else have this problem? I am 43 been diagnosed/treated hypo for almost 4 years now on 390 mgs Armour and take Enzymatic Therapy for my adrenals. I hate the fact that a slight indulgence along with ovulation can put 6 pounds on me. Any suggestions? Any one else have this problem and find a solution?

Any help is so appreciated. I don't even bloat that much from my cycle!! I weighed myself this morning and had dropped 4 of those 6 pounds..and that is great, but if someone has a solution I won't have to endure. I always thought ovulation pain/bloat was normal. Is it?

Hugs...PattiSue

PS..I love this forum.....thanks in advance.

It's worth a shot... if your problems are a reaction to the chemicals, something that you've developed over time.... getting rid of them might help.... I have no PMS at all anymore.. Heck, I don't even know that it's coming, anymore, until it actually starts..... No pain, no bloating and no mood swings.....

Hey, Patti, it's ok. At least you didn't do what I did a few months ago. I was getting two different groups completely confused because in my little brain foggy mind, I did not recognize the fact that they weren't one and the same and not integrated.
