The Challenges We Meet

Our lives are full of challenges and frustrations, but if we meet each

one head on with confidence, those challenges can be conquered.

We begin life with a challenge. When we are born unable to breathe,

we fight for that first breath and cry out our indignation. We had a challenge

and we conquered it.

We got tired of not being able move around, so we struggled and we fell;

we got back up, finally overcame gravity and learned to walk. We had a

challenge and we conquered it.

We struggled to make our wishes known in a world not paying attention.

So we listened, mimicked our parents and learned to talk. We had a challenge

and we conquered it.

Every day we meet challenges in our lives that threaten our physical

body, our mental stability, and our very being. It is how we meet these

challenges that make the difference between success and failure.

Life’s path is full of rocks causing us to stumble and fall. Instead

of lying there on the path amidst the rubble, stand back up, be confident,

and take another step forward. Giving up is an attitude that will guarantee

failure, while a positive outlook will help us continue to grow in our

lives.

Use those rocks to build a foundation for your life. Build a bridge

with them to help you travel in ease. Instead of having to go into the

valley of despair each time you try to climb the mountain of success use

the bridge made of past mistakes and follies.

We must play by the rules life has dealt us,

no matter how it makes us feel,

for sometimes the things that we feel are the worst

are the stepping stones that help us heal.
