Me too, in my case, diabetes isn't the only factor in my life, I also have an

ileostomy, I had my colon removed due to a medical emergency, now I have to

live with a bag on my tummy to collect stool, it has no muscle control, it

just happens.

Just this morning, I slept too long, and bag got full and dumped all over the

floor as soon as I sat up in bed, clip that holds bag shut just let go, oh

well, I'm sure others have a worse fate than me.

the worst is the foods I really need to help me stay LC I can't eat, like the

good veggies, its too crunchy, without a large intestine all crunchy food

comes out to bag undigested, I really have to take vitamins big time.

Hope I didn't gross anyone out too much, just wanted to let you know, there

are worse things than diabetes.

With dm, its so easy, just monitor food, inject, test bg now and then, even

my neuropathy is manageable, off neurotin completely for that, still have

pain from time to time, feels numb at times, but no big deal.

carol

Hi Carol, no gross out here! You certainly are dealing with a tough

condition, aren't you? How did you handle this morning - have you gotten to

the place where you can take things like this in stride, or were you ready to

heave the bag and it's contents at the world?

It's a pain when the requirements for taking care of one medical condition

come into complete conflict with another. I had my diabetes under control

with diet and medication until I had to undergo 6 months of daily hormone

treatment for a very serious precancerous condition (severe atypical

endometrial hyperplasia). My BGs went wildly out of control and my thyroid

went south on me at the same time during the treatment period. And I still

have to take those same hormones every other month, with resulting rises in

BGs. Urgghhh. But better hormones, thyroid medication, and more insulin

than cancer or a hysterectomy. And I'm actually extraordinarily lucky about

this - very few people have the kind of success on this treatment that I had,

and do require hysterectomies and/or develop endometrial cancer.

Anyway, that's a long way of saying I do know something about the

frustrations of the diabetes being affected by another serious condition. It

sounds like you have a great attitude about your problems and that you've

managed to stay in good control despite the limitations. Congratulations!

I'm glad you wrote, it's encouraging to hear success stories like yours.

Thank you Joanne, and . I guess I have the external kind, and boy is it

ever getting on my nerves... kind of embarrassing too.

I have put coconut oil down there a couple of times now, as I believe in the

stuff so much as well. I'm trying just about everything I have read up on the

Internet so far.

If its not any better in a few days then I guess I had better go see the doctor.

As we are suppose to be going on a trip to Texas mid December so that I can see

my Son

Graduate from College and spend Christmas there, and I really don't want to be

in this kind of condition!

Hugs,

Carol

Hi Carol

I do not have much in the way of a short term answer to hemorroids other than

when ever I get an itch or a twing around the area where my hemorrhoids used to

be I pile on the coconut oil !!!. In fact much of the time I use the coconut oil

even when I have no problem at all. Each time I have a bath I cover my body with

it. It has definately contributed to my hemorrhoids clearing up, my stretch

marks fading my dermatitis disapearing and my face now looking 10 years younger

LOL. So if I were you I would give this one a try, it certainly will not do any

harm at all

The lon term solution to my hemorroid problem and indeed all my bowel problems

was to cut back by about 95% the amount of fibre I was using.

Yep, you heard right, I stopped using fibre !!!!!

Nowadays the only fibre that gets into my system is the few grams of vegetables

I eat each day.

You see what I have learned, particularly whilst studying the autoimmune

theories is that since fibre does not digest in the stomach, or small intestine

it actually provides a meal for the pathogens in the colon and around the

rectum, the very place I am trying my best to eliminate ALL infection

Now as regarding hemorroids, I am not certain of the cause. Bee may know and if

you join her board she will tell you what she knows about this, but going off

other stuff she has discussed I am assuming that the hemorrhoids are created by

the body because there is some kind of toxicity in that area

If I am right with this then certainly applying coconut oil directly will help

because as you know coconut oil is terrific for clearing up toxins and soothing

pain, but the one special way coconut oil (and other fats) can help is if we

consume enough to ensure our bowel movements are regular

As you know, in any one day I consume lots and lots of fat, mainly to keep

myself in ketosis and to ensure my body is persistently detoxing toxins metals

chemical radiation pesticides etc. The state of Ketosis does this and one way

that it does it is by ensuring adiquate and correct bowel movements

You see if you are consuming enough fat, you definately do not need fibre to

ensure your bowels move correctly, they move correctly anyway. and because your

stoolshae been made up from fat they are gently, and actually cleansing, taking

out of you any unwanted matter from the intestine

but if you eat fibre, your stools can become coarse and overtime, many therpists

are claiming the lining of the bowel can become damaged and this is one way that

folk are ending up with ulcers, polyps and i assume hemmorhoids too

I know how hard all this is to believe. I certainly did not believe it, and

worse then this when I first changed over to a low carb diet I was not eating

lots of fat, I was eating more protein and still controling my fat, honestly,

old habits die hard. And it was this increase in protein and the insufficient

level of fat that was making me constipated, and then making me believe i needed

fibre, and I would eat the fibre and when doing so I had hemorroids, candida,

irrecgular bowel movements and a whole load of other stuff, I just wont go into

but now this has cleared up, and my bowel movements are very good, and all the

infection stuff has gone too

Plus, and this is the big plus, many therapists are claiming that when our

stools move in accordance with the rythem of the body rather than in accordance

to how much fibre we have filled ourself up with, an appropriate amount of

calcium is trasferred to the bones and the chances of seere arthritis go right

down. which is obviously what I am looking for and all of us at our age should

be looking for

So basically, fibre, like all carbs is a pathogen feeder. It does not really aid

digestion and can contribute to IBS and we can actually become dependent on it.

It can damage the lining of the gut and may well be contributing to the ever

increasing levels of crohns, colitis etc that we are seeing in the west. and

these conditions most definately lead to arthritis and since most folk with

fibro have IBS perhaps all this is a big part of how we end up so ill too

Not using fibre has helped me a lot but it did take a while for me to adjust.

having to up andup my fat when i was not used to it was not easy and for the

first few months i did continue using fibre. But eventually I got off it. Just a

very small amount now that comes from the veg and herbs I eat. and honestly

miles better, miles miles better, and my bowel moves to its own natural rythem,

hemorroids gone canida gone and other infectings that I had with my womb and

uretha also gone

Anyway, Bee touches on some of this on this blog

http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/foods16.php

Hope this helps

Love Joanne

Hi Joanne,

Wow, wouldnt that be amazing if that really did heal all these people. LOL My

daughter is about to pop any day now and give birth to my first grand child, can

you imagine

the look on her face if I said can I have a bottle of that breast milk too

please hahahhaahahha...

I have been doing alot of research on this Dr. Kenny DeMeirLeir. He's a

professor in Belgium that is completely devoted to ourillness.

Also I have an appointment tomorrow to talk with one of the Doctors at the

Whitmoore Institute on the phone. I have alot of questions for them

that I have been writing down on a sheet of paper. I will let you know what she

has to say in my next email.

Seem's like Ampligen would help us patients but the CDC does not want to approve

it for us to use. The CDC still doesnt want to accept our disease as a real

disease it seems like. Ugh....

I really believe that this illness is affecting my heart. I keep getting this

not right feeling over my heart area, and occassionally I can feel like a jump

or like a shock in that area.

I have tried using different teas to help my heart, but nothing seems to be

helping. I have read that our illness can cause cardiomyopathys when it gets too

far.

Its really starting to scare me. And I hate the very thought of this illness

making me bed bound, I can not imagine a life like that.

When I first got sick with this illness I was bed bound for six months, I can

not go back to that. But I have had this now for almost 15 years, and I can feel

that my body

is getting weaker and weaker, and more things are going wrong. Like all of my

glands are in a frenzy now, and my chest keeps hurting, and my back.

My legs feel like jelly some days.

To the left of my computer screen is sitting all of my bottles of Vitamins and

Supplements. There is 15 different bottles standing there. I look like a drug

addict or

a freak Im sure to anyone that comes around this house.

If you go into my diningroom there stands shelfs of jars of different dried

herbs, each labeled as to what each one is. And if you go into my kitchen I have

an entire spice rack filled with different tinctures.

I would imagine any stranger that would come into my house would think that I

was really strange LOL

Its really sad that I have to live like this, and I know that the only reason

all of these things are sitting in my house is because I have basically given up

on Western Medicine to help me, because all they have done is let me down.

May God help us all and heal us. I pray to God alot, I'm sure all of you do too.

There has to be a cure out there somewhere.

Much love to you ,

Carol

Carol

I have not tried this. I cannot afford it and cannot get my hands on it but I am

studying it all the same

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-1268987/Cancer-arthritis-diabetes-acne\

--breast-milk-new-wonder-cure.html

As you know I was drinking cream from raw goats milk but cut back following a

flare. I am going back to it. Instinctively I know it was doing me good. I have

to be careful because of my problem with lactose, but honestly i ahve not

noticed any problem at all drinking cream made from raw goats milk. i will keep

you posted, but i do think their are healing eliments in raw milk and I do wish

i could try the human stuff. I know what i am saying is controvercial in regards

to the human milk, but honestly i dont think we would need much, just enough to

help our immune systems rebalance

Gotta go again but love you, and praying for you

Joanne
