I have not heard of it but will certainly check it out. After reading the box

it appears they charge you the 20% off what they normally charge others which at

today's prices would be quite a savings. Here we have a clinic where you can go

at a reduced rate based on your income.

You must wait for up to a month even if you are in a great deal of pain. Your

fee is based on what you make. The problem is people lie all the time, so those

who are honest pay much more than those who lie! So unfair, but such is life.

Our daughter actually has a rare problem where she can go to bed with no

cavities and wake up with an abcessed tooth. They have come up with medicine

that children can have before they are 7 to take care of this and my grandkids

are on it, but it was to late for her.

She will have to have all of her teeth pulled in the next couple of years and

this is after we put hundred of dollars into her teeth to keep them from

hurting!

Let me know what you find out. My husband has not seen a dentist in let me see

probably 20 years or more. He just does not have a reason to go. Gwen

We were covered by Delta Dental for a couple of years and that was okay but they

covered so little that the premiums truly was not worth it. I do not understand

why dentists are so expensive. Those of us with so many health issues generally

have poor teeth. Whether it is medicines or other problems and when your teeth

hurt there is nothing like it! Gwen

My Father is an insurance salesman and a couple years ago I asked him about

Delta Dental and other such places. He told me you pay out a whole lot more than

you get from them. I asked to see the numbers and he was kind enough to show me

what they were and I changed my mind after that about dental insurance.

That's why I'm interested in the non insurance. It's $9.95 a month and

that rate is a whole lot less than I'm paying right now for my so called

dental insurance. According to their financial chart, the cost at the

dentist is a whole lot less too.

I'd just like to hear from someone who has used the plan. According to

their list of dentists, there's a group here in Bloomington that is part

of the plan, but they're relatively new to the city.

Lyndi,

After you mentioned it, I went to look at it online.

The prices are

comparable to what I paid with Delta Dental. The plan has 2 factors for me.

1 is the fact that a dentis that is absolutely horrible is a member of that

plan,, and where I live there are only about 10 dentists.

If you check out

the list and there are any dentist you know on the list, and after checking

with the Better business bureau, I would get it.

Would it be an option for

you, if you need immediate care, to keep your insurance for a month or two,

join the plan, find a doc, and use the plan. If it is as said in the plan,

then drop the insurance?

Hi Lyndi

You might try calling your Better Business Bureau, and

see if they have had any complaints. The office

manager of at least one of the Dental offices, might

also be able to tell them if they have been satisfied

with this plan.
