Pierre,

I was just over on the website after work this afternoon. It is looking

wonderful. You deserve all our thanks for the many hours of hard work that

has gone into that site. It is an excellent resource of information.

Thanks for all you do that benefits all of us.

Recent changes to www.igan.ca :

Better navigation to subsections of IgAN Notebook from main page of website.

Fish Oil page now part of IgAN Notebook

Personal stories sub-section added to IgAN Notebook (only my story so far,

others currently on the Yahoo Group site may be added if their authors would

like to see it there (stories will be made anonymous if necessary). New

stories may be added on request to pierre@... .

Renal Failure Notebook now includes much useful info

Hypertension Notebook revamped

News section now " News & Announcements " . Events section dropped in favour of

Announcements.

Have a look. If you are new to IgAN, many of your questions may be answered

on www.igan.ca . If you are a veteran, you may be reminded of things you may

have forgotten, as I often am : )

Thanks . I see the website as a good place to keep everything together,

rather than having to search all over the Internet for bits and pieces of

incomplete information. It is also the only place I know of where the whole

experience of chronic renal failure is looked at from beginning to end, from

the perspective of the IgAN patient specifically. That's the goal, anyway.

The reason I'm doing this is because I remember how little information was

available to me when I started years ago. Even today, everywhere you go in

the world of nephrology, be it pre-dialysis classes, kidney disease

symposiums, information sessions, nephrologists' offices, nephrology clinics

or whatever, IgAN patients are very much neglected as a group, in my

opinion - despite being the " most common type of glomerulonephritis in the

world " . That's the situation in North America, at least.
