Phonak NovoForte and Super Front

Does anyone have any specifics on either of these hearing aids? I believe

they are both analog, does either of them have any compression etc.?

(age 7 at the time, pre-pro, oral) did an extended trial with the

Novo Forte E4. They are power programmables, not digital. They offer three

compression strategies, and I can only remember two, WRDC (Wide Range

Dynamic Compression) and PC

(Peak Clipping). We spent about 2-3 weeks with each setting, he liked the

PC the best. It came down to the Widex Senso and these, the Widex being

about 2X the cost of the E4. We chose the Widex for several reasons, but

the E4 is an excellent device and was just as good an audiological fit as

the Widex P38's.

Thanks a bunch Chris!! I think I will push for the Widex P38, as they are

mentioning it too, but they also want to try to these. I will ask about the

Novo Forte E4 too, but the super front didn't look like much to get excited

about.
