Guest guest
I can add to this list: I was very thin, had a great body growing up. My cousin was overweight but was absolutely beautiful. Nada used to say " with your body and HER face you could be a model " (translation: I was/am ugly) In high school we were going shopping to the mall. Nada insisted I do my hair nice and wear makeup. I didn't want to. I'm not really a major hair/makeup kind of gal. She was upset. We went to the mall, saw a girl from my class and that did it, we had to leave immediately because she " couldn't be seen with me in public " Gotta love that self esteem building she did on a teenage girl. I've been told the whole family talks about what a B**** I am and how she agrees with them. > > Things nada said to me > > If you do not sit there and be really good, I will never come back > (said when she sat me in a chair within a store so she could shop > without me) > > Bitter laughter, " she doesn't need that " when shopping for a bathing > suit at age 12 (swimsuit with a bra). Guest guest
I'm so sorry to hear those awful things your nadas said to you. It's pretty sick. The worst things my Nada ever said to me were: - " You are a waste of space " - " You are a snob and when you grow up you should just go and move somewhere far away, you were born into the wrong family. " - " You were a mistake, the condom ripped " During her rages, one time I started hyperventilating b/c I was in shock of all the horrible things she would say to me. Another time I fainted. Still, even as I type this, I still question these things, did this really happen? It did. But I still can't believe it. > > > > Things nada said to me > > > > If you do not sit there and be really good, I will never come back > > (said when she sat me in a chair within a store so she could shop > > without me) > > > > Bitter laughter, " she doesn't need that " when shopping for a > bathing > > suit at age 12 (swimsuit with a bra).
