Guest guest
Ok, I have been reading about this bread for days now. Is it worth buying a bread machine for this? How many carbs per slice? Does it taste like wonder bread or like a homemade wheat bread with some chew to it? I hate wonder bread type bread. But I do miss bread. And, if yes, what brand machine should I buy? And don't even suggest that I make it by hand first, cuz that ain't happening. If someone wants to send me a loaf to taste let me know LOL. corky RE: Bread Heaven > > went to order from Bob's online but they wanted too much for > > shipping. > > I didn't even check out the shipping area - sorry it was so expensive > ( but so glad you were able to find the ingredients locally :-) > Let us know how yours turns out > > Take Care > G. > 230/218/130 > Sept. 13/00 > You can't change the direction of the wind, > but you can adjust your sails. > Homepage - http://www.brunnet.net/k & l > Owner of the Atkins Challengers List - To join go to > > > Please visit our homepage at http://members.xoom.com/AChallengers > You will find information, recipes, before and after pictures. > To contact the list owner please send mail to lindag@... > Visit our 2000 Train Tour Site - http://www.brunnet.net/k & l/web_site_train_tour/actraintour.htm > > >

Guest guest
Oh just make the bread yourself a or borrow a friend's breadmaker for a day and see if you like it. I do have a bread maker but it is fun to take out your frustrations on bread dough. " Take that you nasty old sour dough you " . And besides why else have you got those nice long arms. (Wink*wink). Oh and sorry to hear you have that nasty old cold. I did too until I remembered to take a whole bunch of vitamins c and multies ( Now there is a good word (Wink !Wink) )
Guest guest
no it was great to give me the site anyway I was able to read about the products, etc .. so it worked out but 1 small bag of each of those flours to where I lived would have been over $15 in shipping. However I'm going to go get the stuff tomorrow .. I was going to go tonight but my daughter's school had the ice cream social. We all went & I specifically asked for the sugar free icecream that was noted on their sheet. They had to go into the back to get it. I sat and ate it with a tad of whipped cream while everyone else had the real stuff loaded with the works (chocolate, caramel, jimmies, cherries, whipped cream, chocolate sprinkles, etc) I had a few bites and was satisfied. If you really want bread - but do not want to make it by hand - then YES I would say its worth buying a machine :-) If you subtract the fibre grams there is 3.7g carbs per slice. It is a slightly chewy, nutty flavoured bread that has lots of fiber. I just posted the recipe again today a - did you see it??? Guest guest
We have a new Hy-Vee food store in our community and it carries all ingredients for the bread. I am going to try to make it tomorrow - wish me luck! Susie PS - The breadmaker died a couple of years ago, maybe I can ask for one for Christmas! __________________________________________________
