Guest guest
From: Ed Ames Jeanne Ann--I've had a scooter for almost 3 years and it has served me well.I used it on my job,for shopping, for outside yard work, but it has very limited use in restaurants, some areas in stores, and other tight spots where real maneuverability is needed.I am looking at getting an electric wheelchair, either the Jazzy by Pride or the Ultra by Electric Mobility. These can turn on a dime;17 " turning radius and are only 23 1/2 " wide. They can go anywhere inside and out and I know the lift in my van will handle the Ultra.I would try one if you already haven't.Some are better than others depending on what you want them to do. My scooter does not work in house at all--too big and no sharp turning radius.I use my rolling walker in the house now but there are days when I wish I had that wheelchair! If I can't get stabilised soon,I'll have to go for the wc I'm looking into modifying my ranchhouse instead of moving and the elec. wc is figured into the plan. In any event,Good Luck, whatever you choose--I'ts great to have wheels!! Ed
