Guest guest
suzanne - Thanks for sharing your update with us. It is so reassuring to all of us pre-op or newly post-op to be reminded of the good things that happen as those pounds come off. I'm so happy that everything is going well for you. Take care. Guest guest
congrats Suzanne I feel all of that too 4 months postop--joyful, grateful Hi gastric bypass buddies, I just wanted to share my joy with you. I'm 4 months postop and down from 270 lbs to 204 lbs. I can't wait to hit the 199 lb. mark in a few weeks!!!! It has been many years since I've been under 200. Here's some physical improvements that have happened with my 66 lb weight loss. 1. I have normal blood sugars without diabetes medication. 2. I can now reach easily to perform personal hygiene. 3. My back, legs, knees and ankles no longer hurt. 4. I don't have chronic indigestion. 5. I no longer wet my pants from stress incontinence. 6. My irritable bowel syndrome is 90% improved. 7. I am no longer " hot " all the time. 8. I have more energy and am more active. 9. I don't sleep my days away from a high sugar/carb sedation. 10. I dress nicer, wear makeup and jewelry now that I feel better about my appearance. 11. I am no longer embarrassed by my appearance in my profession as a pediatric nurse practitioner. (I previously felt at times like a hypocrit counseling my patients/parents on a healthy lifesyle when I was so out of control, myself). Now I'm just overweight, NOT MORBIDLY OBESE! 12. BEST OF ALL, I'M NO LONGER OBSESSED WITH SWEETS/FAST FOOD, AND EATING MASSIVE QUANTITIES! FOOD NO LONGER RULES MY LIFE! I DON'T FEEL HUNGRY CONSTANTLY. I GET FULL FAST. HIP..HIP..HOORAY!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you, God! Suzanne from San Diego
