Hi everyone! I'm still in Texas, but since this hotel has internet,

I wanted to give everyone an update.

Everything went GREAT! Dr. Melmed is awesome! He was very thorough,

and explained everything perfectly. He showed me a lot of " before "

and " after " photos, and answered all my questions. He had a list of

symptoms, and I had all of them, just like most of us do.

The surgery was not bad at all-I could not believe how nice the

staff was! The anesthesiologist came out and held my hand and kept

stroking my hair and reassuring me, although I was really not

nervous at all.

They numbed my hand before they put the IV in, and that's all I

remember! I honestly do not even remember waking up from surgery!

I was taped up very tight when I woke up, but was not in pain at

all. Dr. Melmed had given me anti-nausea medicine, a pain

medication, Celebrex, and something relaxing for nerves in the IV.

I was woozy and very comfortable, and in no pain at all when I woke

up.

The drains were kinda gross, but not too bad. He attached them on

the sides of my breasts, and I had two containers that drained

blood. He offered me antibiotics, but I did not take them, as I

always suffer from bad yeast infections when I take them. I only had

to change the drains maybe 3 times total.

My implants were not ruptured...but both were leaking badly. He

said they were saturated in silicone, and he cleaned them off and

gave them to me in labeled containers. He does not have my post

operative reports yet, and said he will mail them to me.

I have not had hardly any pain. When we got back to the hotel from

the surgery, I wanted to go shopping, or down to the spa and walk on

the treadmill! lol

The only pain I have felt is when I turned to the side when I was

trying to sleep-it was a sort of sharp pain, and then I remembered I

had just been explanted, so I laid back on my back to sleep.

My Fibro is not gone-that's the bad news. My right side is still

very painful-headache, neck and shoulder pain, hip pain. He gave me

Hydrocodone, which does not help at all. I have no pain at all from

the surgery itself though.Dr. Melmed said to that I should be all

back to normal in two years.

He does not believe in detoxing though-he said that any leftover

silicone will go out your urine....I'm not going to listen to that,

and am going to buy detox stuff as soon as I can.

I got my drains out today. That was by far, the worst part of the

whole thing for me! Dr. Melmed pulled them out slowly, and then

jerked them the rest of the way. I yelled like a baby, and there

was a girl in the waiting room who was getting hers out tomorrow,

and she got scared! lol

The good news is that my breasts look awesome!! I'm thrilled with

them! I have a LOT of volume, and they are very perky looking!

I did not want to look at them at first, but Dr. Melmed actually

forced me to! I had told my husband that I did not want him to see

them until they had fluffed out, but Dr. Melmed INSISTED that he

look at them-that kinda pissed me off that he would make him look

after I said I didn't want him to, but at least they looked good!

Other than the Fibro pain on my right side (he got everything out,

so I don't know why I still hurt!), I feel wonderful-so light and

free! And I still have a cleavage! I had brought 2 bras with me-a

34 and a 36...and I fit perfectly in the 36! It's actually kinda

tight!

My husband and I have gone out to eat a few times, we went shopping,

and right after I got my drains out, we went through " Ripley's

Believe it or not " and " The House of Wax " .

This has been more of a vacation than a surgery!!

Hey Leyna,

I am so glad you are feeling so energetic. That is a good sign!

Did you have a lift? It sounds like you didn't need one by the way you describe how you look good already. (I felt like the Bride of enstein after mine). If you think you are fluffing out now, just wait six months-- you'll REALLY be fluffed then. Doesn't it feel great to be free of those nasty things?

I can't believe you went out after the surgery. I couldn't do much more than watch movies and sleep for two days.

The pain will improve, but it may take some time to go away completely. But you're on the road now, no more waiting!

Leyna,

My implants were not leaking. I'd had them for one year. I don't know why I got more sick than some people who have had them longer, I guess my body is just sensitive. I started getting terribly sick about a month after implants.

I am one year out and still having symptoms, though I am better than I was.

I am really glad you are getting your energy back so quickly. What a relief!

Hi Bindi,

Same thing happened to me, I got sick right away, although it

started with me about a week after implanting - our bodies must have

been more sensitive than others. I'm actually glad I got sick

quickly, though, because it must be confusing if you get sick years

later, then you're wondering if it's the implants or not. With me,

I knew it was the implants. On November 7th it'll be one year since

I've had my explant, and I still have symptoms, too, although I'm

better than I was also.

Sis, Very true....patience was never my virtue though! LOL It looks like I will have to learn it for this though! I've noticed that eating raw garlic really helps the pain. I was doing that before my explant, for my Fibro, and it really helped a lot.auntsisnj <auntsisnj@...> wrote: Leyna,I'm glad that your surgery went well and that you're happy with your results. You won't see overnight improvement from the Fibro, it takes time. You have to drink tons of water now,

and start eating alot of veggies, organics if you can, and take the best care of yourself ever. You probably didn't get sick overnight, and you probably won't get better overnight, but at least now you've got a chance with the implants gone.Sis>> Hi everyone! He was very thorough, and explained everything perfectly. He showed me a lot of "before" and "after" photos, and answered all my questions. He had a list of symptoms, and I had all of them, just like most of us do.The surgery was not bad at all-I could not believe how nice the staff was! The

anesthesiologist came out and held my hand and kept stroking my hair and reassuring me, although I was really not nervous at all. They numbed my hand before they put the IV in, and that's all I remember! I honestly do not even remember waking up from surgery!I was taped up very tight when I woke up, but was not in pain at all. Dr. Melmed had given me anti-nausea medicine, a pain medication, Celebrex, and something relaxing for nerves in the IV. I was woozy and very comfortable, and in no pain at all when I woke up.The drains were kinda gross, but not too bad. He attached them on the sides of my breasts, and I had two containers that drained blood. He offered me antibiotics, but I did not take them, as I always suffer from bad yeast infections when I take them. I only had to change the drains maybe 3 times total. My implants were not ruptured...but both were leaking badly. He said they were

saturated in silicone, and he cleaned them off and gave them to me in labeled containers. He does not have my post operative reports yet, and said he will mail them to me.I have not had hardly any pain. When we got back to the hotel from the surgery, I wanted to go shopping, or down to the spa and walk on the treadmill! lolThe only pain I have felt is when I turned to the side when I was trying to sleep-it was a sort of sharp pain, and then I remembered I had just been explanted, so I laid back on my back to sleep. My Fibro is not gone-that's the bad news. My right side is still very painful-headache, neck and shoulder pain, hip pain. He gave me Hydrocodone, which does not help at all. I have no pain at all from the surgery itself though.Dr. Melmed said to that I should be all back to normal in two years. He does not believe in detoxing though-he said that any leftover silicone will go out your

urine....I'm not going to listen to that, and am going to buy detox stuff as soon as I can.I got my drains out today. That was by far, the worst part of the whole thing for me! Dr. Melmed pulled them out slowly, and then jerked them the rest of the way. I yelled like a baby, and there was a girl in the waiting room who was getting hers out tomorrow, and she got scared! lolThe good news is that my breasts look awesome!! I'm thrilled with them! I have a LOT of volume, and they are very perky looking!I did not want to look at them at first, but Dr. Melmed actually forced me to! I had told my husband that I did not want him to see them until they had fluffed out, but Dr. Melmed INSISTED that he look at them-that kinda pissed me off that he would make him look after I said I didn't want him to, but at least they looked good!Other than the Fibro pain on my right side (he got everything out, so I don't

know why I still hurt!), I feel wonderful-so light and free! And I still have a cleavage! I had brought 2 bras with me-a 34 and a 36...and I fit perfectly in the 36! It's actually kinda tight! My husband and I have gone out to eat a few times, we went shopping, and right after I got my drains out, we went through "Ripley's Believe it or not" and "The House of Wax".This has been more of a vacation than a surgery!!
