Guest guest
Well, I am not an expert on the subject, but I would try a good Merlot from Napa Valley, CA. It has a smooth, full bodied flavor, without the bitterness and so called 'karosene' bite to it. However, I would not recommend it for you if you are trying to conceive, pregnant or breastfeeding. There are plenty of other ways to have a healthy heart without the risking the health of your baby. Try some good old fashioned cardio exercise! :0) > Does anyone know of a red wine that doesn't taste like karosene? Guest guest
My favorite is red zinfandel, it is more mellow than cabernet. You can get a brand that is pretty inexpensive, like Talus, my favorite, that is really quite good. I am a red wine drinker normally, but not till months from now since I will be breastfeeding, too. Guest guest
Yes: > Chateau Saint , Merlot > Cakebread, Cabernet Both are exceptionally wonderful, fruity, full bodied wines. My husband always lets me choose the wine when we dine out. Look for a soft but firm fresh cork, nice " pop " upon opening, a sweet aroma from the bottle, and when poured a nice even color, when swished in the glass the wine should have 'legs' apparent and they should evenly spread around the glass the glide back down. Strange... a really good wine is like s _ _. No, just kidding! The Merlot is a softer wine, great with chicken, fish or even pasta. Now the Cakebread Cab is a bit heavier, wonderful with steak or seafood. I think you would really enjoy either one. G. Guest guest
My brother works at sutter home and it is one of the best wines that there is. I am sure you will enjoy it. I am new to this group. I was just approved for a loan to get my tr done. Very nervous and excited. I am 30 years old and have two beautiful sons. I had my surgery when I was 22 and have regretted it since. Everyone here seems so sweet and caring towards each other and I am glad to be a part of it. I am doing my phone consultation Monday and I see where I go from there. Wish me luck. Angie
Guest guest
I bought some wine called Sutter Home Signature Merlot made in 1999 California. Have you ever heard of that? I thought it would taste pretty good because I thought the more they cost the better they would be...LOL. If I ever get up the nerve to try it again, I'll try the ones you suggest :-) Thanks!! {{{Hugs}}} Deanna > My favorite is red zinfandel, it is more mellow than cabernet. Guest guest
I think I'm out of luck then, because the one I have is Merlot. The cork didn't feel very soft, but it was firm. I feel like I'm talking about someone's behind..LOL!! Especially when you add the legs to it...ROFL! Do you think wine coolers are the same thing? {{{Hugs}}} Deanna > Yes: > > Chateau Saint , Merlot > > Cakebread, Cabernet > > Both are exceptionally wonderful, fruity, full bodied wines. Guest guest
How funny! I don't think the wine coolers will even be close however, I'm sure they would be a cost cutting alternative... Have a great weekend. G. Wines-OT > > > Does anyone know of a red wine that doesn't taste like karosene?
