about having a TR for years but more so now. I have started the

process so we will see. I am like so many financially strapped but

willing to make sacrifices for what WE want. Wanted to say Thank you

Judi,

Hi! Im not sure if i can help you with your question about the length

of time your tubes have been tied. But, I am a bit partial to Dr.

L. He did my reversal this past thrusday, the 14th. He was really

great. His assistant was also great, the hospital and all of its

staff and even the Inn was great. He really makes you feel

comfortable and he is very informative. He tells you everything and

doesnt leave anything out. I hope you find the info you need to help

you make your decision, and good luck. I came away with tubes

shorter than what i had hoped but the main thing is they are healthy

and open so i have more of a chance now than i did before the surgery

and i feel whole again. Welcome to the board, this is a great

place. all the ladies here are very supportive.

Welcome to the group, Judi!

Hello

Hello Everyone,

I'm also new to this group and I too have some concerns.

I'm 39 years old and have two sons; ages 22 and 21 respectively. I've

been married for almost thirteen years to the love of my life. He is a

wonderful stepfather to my two sons, but he has no children of his own.

I had my tubal ligation done (Pomeroy) almost 21 years ago. Is there

anyone out there who had a tubal reversal done after so many years???

We checked into tubal reversal 12 years ago, but the cost was high, the

success rates were low, etc. We have only recently checked into it again

and we were amazed at the progress that has been made over the years.

Also, how do you finally decide on a doctor? We are leaning towards Dr.

Levin, but as we are only going to have one shot at this, of course we

want the very best.....is he the best? How do you decide?

Thanks for any info you can give and " Good Luck " to you all, my prayers

are with you!

Hello Judi,

Welcome to the group. You have found a wonderful place full of caring

women. I have to tell you my story on how I decided. OF course I haven't

had my reversal yet but have made up my mind. I first decided on Dr. Levin

over 4 years ago. I never had the money to do it. I chose him because he

was close to my home and the fact that I never knew this type of surgery

could be done. So he was the only one that I knew to do the surgery. What

clinched it for me, was when I went to his office for my consult. He was so

caring and friendly. I never felt rushed or stupid for wanting to have the

reversal, nor did he make me feel stupid for having the ligation to begin

with. He cares so much for his patient. He takes it personal to make sure

that the patient has the best of everything. I have researched several

doctors in the last 2 years but no one in my mind could beat Dr. Levin. He

calls or emails people when they write to him. I mean personally answers

the emails and things. I have emailed other doctor's only to receive the

information from their nurse or other office personell. I wouldn't trust

anyone else under the sun with me and my tubes. Just my personal opinion

here.

I wish you the very best of luck with this and hope to see you post alot.

WE love to hear from everyone.

Love ya,

Moe

Hi there. I'm new here. Doctors have been telling me I have

fibromyalgia for a long time, but I'm convinced I have MS. I'm

interested in learning more about the best diet for treating this

disease. Right now, what helps me, is staying away from meat, dairy,

white sugar, gluten, aspartame and caffeine. I also seem to react to

tomatoes, pineapples, lemons and strawberries. It also seems that soy

makes me really nauseated. I've been wondering about eggs as well,

although I haven't stopped eating them, yet. When I do eat some of

these things, I have an immediate reaction in my mouth with canker

sores and a raw bloody roof of the mouth, so I know my body doesn't

like these things, ..but when I did allergy tests, they came back

negative. I couldn't understand that. Can anyone tell me why that is?

I'm a fairly small female. 5'4 and 108 pounds. I want to be sure and

take a supplement that will give me what I need. I've been taking

" Alive " pills for a short time. I'd love to hear what you all take.

Also, because salads are an important meal for me, does anyone have

any recommendations for dressing?

I've had MRIs on the brain which haven't proved MS and I'm so

terrified of the spinal test, I've never been able to let them do it.

I've had four children(miraculously and insanely!). When they did

the spine injection for numbing, I had the most severe reaction ever.

Never experienced pain like that in my life. I don't know if I'll

ever have the nerve to let them do that test.

I'm currently off all my drugs, except for emergencies where I have

some Vicaden on hand and Trazadone for sleep. Also some flexeril.

The idea though, is to stay off all drugs unless I am near death! My

parents sent me to a psych. at age sixteen and got me started on all

kinds of psychiatric meds., which was probably the biggest mistake

ever. So I was eventually on the psych. stuff and the pain meds. and

sleep meds. On top of that, I was taking huge amounts of laxatives,

because of course I was having horrible digestive problems and severe

constipation.

A few years ago, I had a Near Death experience. I actually left my

body. One of my meds. I'd suspected was slowing my heart and making

it difficult to have the strength to even breath. My husband found me

comatose and was able to pull me out of it. It was a terrifying

experience though. I learned a lot on the Other Side and when I came

back, I knew I had to get off all the drugs and clean myself up. I

knew I had to find the answer. No more magic pills.(that don't exist)

One of the things I was told in my N.D. over and over was, " Put your

House in Order. " I'm pretty dense and I ran around for months after

that cleaning and organizing my house, but I kept hearing the Voice

say the same thing, until I realized, I WAS the House. My body was

the House.

Everything has changed for me spiritually, as well. I See with a

different Eye now. I Hear with different Ears. The information that

was given to me on the Other Side pulled the rug out from under me.

It was really hard for me to take and took me a while to get used to.

Anyway, I'm here because I go where I'm led now. I thank you all for

your time and help and hope for further guidance.

Sincerely,

Amy
