Guest guest
TRUE Vitamin C is not ascorbic acid. Most sources equate vitamin C with ascorbic acid, as though they were the same thing. They're not. Ascorbic acid is an isolate, a fraction, a distillate of naturally occurring vitamin C. In addition to ascorbic acid, vitamin C must include rutin, bioflavonoids, Factor K, Factor J, Factor P, Tyrosinase, Ascorbinogen, and other components. If one wants to understand why it a waste to use ascorbic acid as Vitamin C or to use ANY type of synthetic or isolated vitamin, please refer to http://thedoctorwithin.com/index_fr.php? page=articles/whole_food_vitamins.php Dr. Tim O'Shea really does a spectaular job of explaining the differences. Guest guest
I basically believe what is written in the articles by Dr. Tim O’Shea and on Weston Price’s web site. Vitamin C in its isolated form doesn’t work. Here is what Dr. Oshea states: “Now I can hear you asking, what about Linus ing, double Nobel Prize laureate, and his lifetime espousal of megadosing on ascorbic acid ? up to 10 grams per day? He lived to be 93. Are we saying that he took a synthetic vitamin all that time? Yes, that's exactly right. Bernard Jensen suggests that ascorbic acid has an acidifying effect in the body, making an unfriendly environment for viruses, Candida, and pathogenic bacteria. " Most infectious pathogenic bacteria thrive in an alkaline pH. " ing's good health was not the result of synthetic vitamin activity. Good genetics and the acidifying effect are likely what brought longevity to Linus ing. He eventually died of cancer.” From WAPF (Weston A. Price) “Vitamin C: A water-soluble vitamin best known for its use in treatment of the common cold, it is also needed for a host of processes including tissue growth and repair, strength of capillary walls, lactation and adrenal gland function. It is vital for the formation of collagen, the body's structural substance. It promotes healing of wounds and is a powerful antioxidant. Dr. Linus ing and others have promoted megadoses of Vitamin C for cancer while others have used large doses to treat schizophrenia and drug addiction. But megadoses of isolated ascorbic acid may lead to imbalances and deficiencies in vitamin P. New evidence suggests that vitamin C works synergistically with vitamin E. Hypoglycemics and individuals on a high-protein diet require more vitamin C as these conditions interfere with the metabolism of ascorbic acid. It is found in many fruits and vegetables and in certain animal organs. Vitamin C is destroyed by heat. Alcohol and many common drugs including aspirin and oral contraceptives may reduce vitamin C levels in the body.” I believe Vitamin C is good ONLY in it’s whole food form. Anything else is taxing your liver to process out. The body only recognizes natural substances. Guest guest
Hi Joanne, Bee has said that at times we may need to take 4000 unit, and then 1000 unit per hour, until diarrhea. That if for times we really need a major detox. Then gradually cut down on c to you get to regular dose. You can do a search on bees site about it. I did it once when they sprayed here for termites. I never got diarrhea that day. C. > > The folk on the AS site are telling me that taking vitamin C hourly at 1000mg will stop a flare. > > I have not tried this but fiound it interesting. > > Bee says that if we are not used to vtamin C it is better to simply take 500g twice a day and then build up to 4,000g in total. But be aware that whilst building up you may experience diarhea. If this happens just cut back to the previous amount you was taking and then build up later > > My logic here is that following Bees advice, that is doing this every day flares or not, may stop flares starting up. I know i have not had any flares since following Bees protocol > > Hope this is helpful > > Love joanne > > > > >

Guest guest
Buffered Vitamin C can avoid the diareah complication...I'm not 100% sure, but I think it's also called magnesium Citrate. What flares do you mean? My poor Mom is a wreck right now. She's super inflamed and having a lot of pain. She has a painful swollen lymph node that seems to have started this whole reaction. I just read that Pyncogenol is a really powerful anti-inflammatory in high doses, so I'm going to buy some tomorrow. To: fibromyalgiacured From: joannesford@... Guest guest
Hi, I take a c with bioflavoids added. Magnesium citrate is just magnesium with some citrus that helps absorption. I take equal amount of it and calcium citrate. Taking a buffered c, I think could upset the balance of calcium we get. Diarrhea means you are finally getting the saturation you need,so I would not want to avoid it, and I never got it so I really must have needed that much C. I trust C as anti-inflammatory, as well as cod liver oil, B complex, natural A, and natural E. Butter and coconut oil can help inflammation as well. Those all work together, I am a bit afraid to take others, afraid it will upset the balance. c. > > > Buffered Vitamin C can avoid the diareah complication...I'm not 100% sure, but I think it's also called magnesium Citrate.
