Hi ... well that all makes sense.... I have to confess...yesterday

the cookies that I try to stay away from were on sale..... I would save

..30 on each bag so I bought two bags. Makes sense to me....lol I've

gone to the pantry at least 3 times to get them but I stopped. Don't

know if I can keep it up though.

Klonopin (Clonazepam) is used for seizures but they have found that it

stops the " restless leg syndrome " which I have really bad... my doctor

prescribed 1 to 2 tablets each night but said to just try 1/2 a pill at

first to see if it worked. Well, I can tell you that just 1/2 pill at

bedtime works great....within 20 minutes I'm out like a light. They

work so well that I stopped taking my sleeping aid. Just one less pill

to take. The good thing is that my legs and arms stay put at night and

not flapping around.

Going through ups and downs is common with this disease..... It's so

darn frustrating not being able to do what you use to ... yet your mind

thinks you can.... If it really becomes more frequent then you need to

talk to your doctor. The more frustration in our lives just brings on a

flare up and really doesn't do anyone any good. I do the same thing, at

times I yell at my own dogs who have not done a thing to me...but we all

have those wonderful grouchy days....

Hope you enjoy your nap.... that's where I'm headed for right now.

Take care,

Vicki

My take is that your husband fell into the 'ole automatic thinking of " She

doesn't look sick. " (therefore she is capable of doing/having done

___________). I have to keep reminding myself that unless people have an

illness like PM or DM, they really aren't capable of fully understanding. I

am not trying to nullify your feelings. I'd be furious. In fact when he

asked if there was anything you wanted from town,my initial thought was

" Yeah--a new husband! " Anyway, when I get angry because others don't " GET

it, " sometimes it helps me to do the mental gymnastics thing and realize

that they don't HAVE the disease, so they won't experience it like I do. (I

can only do that after I spout off, though. So keep spouting...)

Love,

Ann-Marie--MCTD/PM

Ann-Marie you hit it right on the head... I also have to remember that

people see the outside of us and think... " She/he doesn't look sick " ...

My own friends will tell me I'm looking great.... try as I might... I

have to let them know how I feel on the inside. Not to gain sympothy

but to make them understand a little more. Most people figure if your

sick you will have the sick face and never wear a smile. I can't do

that... the only time I didn't smile and crack a joke was when I was in

the hospital....but then I couldn't get my face muscles to work anyway.

I'll still go into my doctors office and greet them with a big smile and

I'll be the first to ask how their day is going. It doesn't mean I feel

good.... it's just makes me less aware of my own problems.

Thanks Vicki,

I just felt so bad that had to be put in a

" Medical Situation " . Here we were, both bummed,

because his sisters were back in school. (They were

excited, practically ran out the door!). We were

making a morning of it, enjoying each others company,

and Mom goes and does something stupid. The ambulance

people were very good with him. They gave him a

stuffed animal to keep and let him play with a

stethoscope. Of course, he put it around his neck

like Dr.'s do. They were impressed with his knowledge

of medical equipment! He told a Dr., when we took him

in for his wrist, that he had " Derma something " . I

had to laugh. He got upset when I closed me eyes in

the ambulance. He wanted to take care of me at the

hospital and didn't like the nurses shooing him out of

the room. Again, my knee is a minor inconvience, and

with my parents here, I have been able to really take

care of it and it is better every day. I just hated

that was so upset! Hope everyone is doing good.

Teddi, thanks for the e-card. I enjoyed it. I can't

sit up for long so I will catch up more later!

Thanks for your support, . Like I said in my initial message that

stirred up this issue, I just could not stand by quietly any

longer. They have got to be fair and consistent and hopefully as open

as possible.

Do nuns smoke? I don't--I don't know any of us who do...Do we drink?

Yes, socially. Actually I love beer and the Methotrexate kills that off

except for VERY infrequent times. Glad to hear 'ole Grandma wasn't around,

either, when you married your hubby.

Ann-Marie

P.S. How are we doing or not doing with the little white death sticks?!?

I am still SO MAD about Fern's doctor! I want to go " egg " or " peanut

butter " his office. If he's on the plump side, he could use a little

exercise cleaning it up!!!!!!!

Ann-Marie... you really crack me up. I do believe that he does need the

exercise himself. I hope Fern, that you do write to the medical board

about his behavior. There was no need to act and talk like he did. All

he did was take a patient that was already feeling very bad and made it

worse. Doctors are suppose to be caring not insulting.

Hope you feel better Fern...

is back and you ARENT going to BELIEVE this !!!!!! Life as we know

it at the Rollman house has been turned completely upside down. It seems

that a lovely and charming family two doors down from me (gutter trash) moved

over the weekend and left behind a mother cat and 7 (count them) 7 kittens.

No bigger than my hand !!!!!! Welllllllll, Saint to the rescue !!!!!

I am now housing 17 fur children in my house !!!! I NEED HELP !!!!! This

cannot happen as I will not and cannot run a petting zoo out of my home !!!!

If ANYONE can spread the word or help out by taking one (or more) I would

greatly appreciate it !!!! I have every color and both sexes available !!!

They say the Lord doesnt give us more than we can handle but this is pushing

the limit !!!!! And heaven help the idiots that left them if I find out

where they moved to. They will pay dearly !!!! Thank you to all and its

feeding time at the zoo so I must go now !!!!

.... LOL... how did 8 cats turn into 17 fur children... are you

saying you have 9 animals of your own....LOL

When that has happened to me out here, I don't call animal control since

they put them asleep in three days.... I take them to the Human Society

and tell them that they were mine but I couldn't keep them. Out here

the Human society won't take in strays so you have to tell them it is

your cat....

Your right, the good Lord will never give you more than what you can

handle....over the course of my life, I guess he thought I could raise

alot of homeless animals. He must feel the same about you...

Your such a good person.... if you can't take them to the human society

I bet if you call all your friends they will take some of those babies

off your hands.

Being so small they must not be ready to leave mom yet ..... they must

still be nursing ... right?

Thanks for the words of encouragement . I have

days where I doubt if he'll be out of pull-ups by the

age of 16!!!! We don't really say anything about it.

He is in the largest size pull-up. Goodness, I hope

we don't have to go to Depends! We had dinner at a

friends house last night and was rough housing

with their two boys. He was black and blue when we

got home from the tops of his knees to his ankles.

They looked awful. They were better this morning. It

scared me when Jeff and I first noticed it. He

doesn't say anything about them though, as usual.

Tomorrow he starts 4 year old preschool so I am

depressed this evening. I do miss them when they are

gone.

Hope everyone had a good holiday weekend.

My only vivid memory of age 3 is when our two female

cats both had a litter of kittens within a few days of

each other. Five in one litter, 3 in another. A

total of 8 cats. As a 3 year old I remember Fun, Fun,

Fun!!! My mother might remember otherwise!!! Good

luck to you!

Hugs,
