I will, every so often, put in 1/4 c. heavy cream and a smidge of some

davinci syrup or some fruit and whip it up until it's real thick, almost to

butter thickness. This makes a very filling treat.

I usually just make a protein shake when I want something sweet. Make it in

the blender with a bunch of ice cubes and it comes out really " treaty. "

My current favorite is to use the apple cider burst from walmart as the

liquid, vanilla shake mix, and a few shakes of apple pie spice. I add a

little cream if I can spare the carbs and it's kinda like apple pie a la

mode. :-)

It's with the Sam's choice drinks. By the chips and sodas and such, usually at the front of the store. They make a bunch of no cal/no sugar/lc drinks. The ruby red grapefruit burst is my favorite to drink straight (I love grapefruit juice) but I use several of the other flavors for shakes, key lime, tropical fruit, apple cider. There are two different varieties of these drinks and I don't remember which is which but they are all there together.

Aviva,

I just asked my son as he is the resident cream whipper here . . .

Our hand held mixer lets you use only one beater. He uses one beater and

then mixes it right in a fairly small tupperware container. If you have

leftovers (yeah, like that happens here), you can just plop the top on and

stick it in the fridge.

,

What do you use to whip 1/4 c. heavy cream? I think even my hand-held mixer

wouldn't be able to handle such a small amount, not to mention the big

Kitchenaid. I wish I knew how to do it, because whipping 1 whole cup is a

very very bad idea for me ;-).

Thanks

Aviva

HJ,

Remember Nan's recipe for microwave cheesecake in a cup? That was a single

serving recipe (which I don't think I have). Does anyone else remember it?

And, speaking of Nan, where is she anyway?

Come out Nan . . . we're looking for you, Honey!

Thanks, !

My problem is that those two servings are more than likely to become one

serving. I always admire your posts when you describe how much control you

have over portion sizes! Gives me something to aspire to. Meantime, if I'm

gonna do it, I'll stick with 1/4 cup at a time. In fact, I'm still debating

over whether I should even bring any heavy cream into the house ...

Aviva

>>you could set out two of those tiny rubbermaid containers and whip 1/2

cup. That would be 3.2 carbs and if you divided it up into those two

servings you'd be fine!:)<<
