Hi I am pretty new in the world of ACM but the one thing I have

learned about is the weight issue. My weight has been from 120 all the

way up to 145-150 and back down again. I have learned that a lot of it

has to due with some meds that we are on. There are bunches of them

out there that increase appetite and cravings for sweets. I talked to

my Dr. about this cause the added weight was making some of my pain

worse due to additional stress on my body and my spirit. Talk to yours

about what you are taking and see if it could be stemming from that. I

am also not terribly active any more and just in the last few weeks

have dropped 15 lbs. by stopping some of my meds or switching to

different ones. Bye doing that and making the " easy food " a little bit

better for you, you should see some results. They might not be big but

slowly they will come. My easy food is now things like sweet fruits,

and veggies. I keep a lot of lunchmeat and cheese on hand also. And, if

I am just dying for something really sweet there is this great fat free

caramel dip for fruits my personal fav is apples with it. Reminds me

of the good old caramel apples for the fair. If you have any questions

For those who would be interested, I have started a yahoo group for those who

would want to do the weight thing. You can post photo's and everything. I

thought that this might be better then trying to do it through Dr. L's group.

He might not like that idea. Please feel free to join or not join or give me

your opinion if you would rather have that, or a web page to just keep

information. I thought with the group it would give us a chance to pass along

diet tips and encouragement. Where as with a web page it would be less

personal. You guys let me know which you would rather have. Here is the link

and I hope that it works right for everyone.
