Guest guest
Foxy, You're probably looking at getting your implants removed . . . You sound like many women who've come to the group. The good news is that, with proper removal and detox, you can get your life back! . . . We have lots of information for you, so stick around! . . . Read through the archived messages. You'll soon find you're not alone. It's unlikely your doctors will find anything wrong though . . . Please don't let them put you on powerful medications that can cause further side effects. Getting your implants out would be a better option. Rogene
Guest guest
-- I think a lot of us had quick reactions and NEVER thought it could be implants because we are all told they are so safe and the only real problems are that they might deflate and such. I got sick within a few months getting mine, and just kept getting worse until I had them out a couple of weeks ago. I had to quit working and got so sick I thought I could die. I have mainly used rest as my recovery and am doing much better now. Ask your PS what he/she thinks about illness and implants, find someone who acknowledges that they can make you sick, and read the posts here about how to properly take them out (I got some really good advice here and feel like it was the best decision I made). My original PS did not take them out, he did not think they could make me sick. I found a PS who said I should take them out and he did a great job and giving me a good result with total removal of capsules. TRUST your intuition, I had that feeling over and over and kept ignoring it. In the end, I figured that even if I really had just developed some strange illness that having implants were not helping the situation, although I feel the implants caused everything. I know it is a nightmare, I have said that over and over. But there are a lot of good endings for the women who have recovered. Guest guest
- YEs, like Rogene has written, I have been to four drs and had every possible test and nothing came up, they all acted like I was just tired and said, you will get better and it can not be implants. I just KNEW they were wrong, I know my body, and I knew something was really wrong. -- In , Rogene S <saxony01@...> wrote: > > Foxy, > > You're probably looking at getting your implants removed . . . Guest guest
Gretchy, I got sick that quick from SALINE implants, I started having problems right away, too. I knew my body and I knew that I never had any of these types of problems until I got implants. I had mine out after having them for six months, and believe me my symptoms continued to get worse with every passing week. I would have gotten them removed after a month if I wasn't at odds with my husband over it, but finally I couldn't take it any longer and had them removed. Most of us have recovered, but it might take you longer to recover than it did to get sick. Since it's pretty recent, your body might recover quicker than if you had them for a long time. Guest guest
I have definitely been in your shoes, and I totally can relate. If your body is reacting to the implants, I would want the capsules removed because they might contain some of what is making you sick. They probably aren't very thick after only 5 weeks, but they might have absorbed some of the toxins that are making you sick. We don't really know if it's an allergic reaction or if it's an immune response to something foreign, or if it's because of the chemicals made in the manufacture of the implants - unfortunately no one has studied the people who get sick to determine why they get sick (because that would mean that they actually admit that they cause problems). I think you have a good chance at getting better because you haven't had them in your body for very long, so hang in there and go with your gut. Guest guest
Have you made an appointment to have them removed ? What did your PS have to say about this ? If I were you, I'd have him remove the capsule and use drains, you want this to be done right the first time, so you won't need other surgeries. Since you haven't had long, seems as though you would get well sooner. Is he going to refund you or charge you to remove ? Would you be willing to write my atty ? He needs to hear from someone that still has their implants in.

Guest guest
It's impossible to say how long it will take to recover . . . most women report that some symptoms leave when they are explanted, others take months to years. It's possible that, depending on your work, you may be able to return to work within a week or so. If you'll start working on a good diet and detox program, it should be sooner rather than later. It's a big effort, but well worth the reward. Rogene
Guest guest
Normally, if you didn't have any symtoms, you probably wouldn't have to be concerned about removing capsules at only five weeks. . But when you have so many symptoms, it's important that everything come out. . . and that drains be used until there is no significant drainage. You're not alone in being scared! . . . But you'll start feeling better soon! Hugs and prayers, Rogene

Guest guest
Here is an excerpt from an article written by Dr. Kolb, a doctor who has removed several ladies' implants here. She references MS symptoms and not true disease in silicone poisoned patients. Dr. Kolb believes that certain genetic types have a greater risk of reacting to breast implants. She also believes that a lot of times, brewing infections which began at implantation, are to blame for implant problems. II. AUTO-IMMUNE ISSUES Auto-immune symptoms include Raynaud's syndrome, positive ANA's, elevated sed rates (ESR) and positive rheumatoid factors. In patients with silicone deposits within muscles we see high CPK levels and in some patients we see thyroglobulin antibodies and thyroid Peroxidase antibodies. We also see anti-cardiolipin antibodies in some patients as well as a variety of other antibodies which are positive in Scleroderma and lupus. As far as the auto-immune disease caused by silicone, I do not believe that this is either lupus or rheumatoid arthritis. I have seen some patients who appear to have Scleroderma but they are often treated effectively with long courses of either Cipro or Minocin combined with a holistic protocol with resolution of their symptoms. I also do not believe that the majority of patients come to me with a diagnosis of multiple sclerosis actually have multiple sclerosis. Very few of my patients with multiple sclerosis have any bladder or bowel problems or visual problems. In a similar note, the patients with a diagnosis of lupus have no renal or CNS involvement which is very common in lupus. I believe these patients have atypical connective tissue disease, and atypical neurological disease caused by the silicone adjuvant mechanism. Overall, the majority of patients with auto-immune disease have clearing of the auto-immune disease with removal of the silicone followed by detoxification and immune support. > > also guys.. > do i really need the capsule removed at 5 weeks? > im scared i really have MS or something. > is this a leak or an allergic reaction. > its a nightmare for sure. i cry all the time and am so scared i wont > get better. >

Guest guest
Gretchen The implanting surgeon is usually the worst choice . . . For that price, I would expect him to give you a local, make an incision, pop the implant out, then sew you up . . . Then, when you continue to be sick because the capsule is still there full of junk - He can tell you that "I told you it wasn't the implants!" Not a good option when one is sick! Guest guest
Hi, I knew of a couple girls who got their implants out very soon after getting them. One that I remember quite clearly got them out after only 4 months, and I recently heard from her. She is still battling the dizziness over 4 years later. Unfortunately the dizziness for me was the last symptom to leave. I got sick within about 8 months of getting my implants, and it took over 4 years for it to go away completely. I know that is rotten news, but that was just my experience. There are some women who have immediate relief upon explant of dizziness and brain fog. They are the extremely lucky ones! I hope it happens for you. The problem is that removing implants isn't like pulling teeth. You don't just pull them out and get better in a few hours. It's nothing like that, though I wish it were. It usually takes months to years to overcome the terrible immune system effects if your implants have made you sick. No two people heal in the exact same manner, however, so there is always the chance that upon removal, your body will heal quickly and completely. The chance exists. I have not seen it happen very often, if at all, but I believe that healing is going to take place when we take care of our body and do what it needs for health. Implants do not belong in a healthy body. They just cause it to break down faster, that's all. Guest guest
I remember having those feelings. I have a former aunt (married to my dad's brother) who ended up with MS. I called her scared to death that I was getting it too. I wasn't. But it sure scared the heck out of me, because my health went down fast, and I had no previous health issues at all. Your feelings of fear are normal, but please do not feel alone and hopeless. This group is here to give you hope. We've been down this road, and we've experienced many cases of healing after explant. Just the fact that we are here to say "I got better!" should give you hope. Your capsule may be really super thin. But it should be removed if possible. Why not? Your body certainly doesn't need it in there. Let us know how we can help. Take care, Patty Re: 4.5 weeks post silicone implants also guys.. do i really need the capsule removed at 5 weeks?im scared i really have MS or something. is this a leak or an allergic reaction.its a nightmare for sure. i cry all the time and am so scared i wontget better.
