Guest guest
I absolutely agree - you have to follow your gut - If you are able try to time table in your mind when your symptoms started. For me it was quite simple, only having them two years, but yet being so misguided by so many different physicians and ultimately being given transfusions and chemotherapy to lower my over active immune system, which was attacking the good parts of my body causing auto immune problems, i.e. Lupus and the list went on and on- a red flag went up that maybe my body was trying to reject something that should not be there (my implants) - I am still not better, but have no regrets - I was left with a poisoned body and the only one that could take control of it was me. Therefore, I removed myself off all drugs and removed everything from my body that I had control of. I have no regrets - and a new image that I have embraced. Further, I feel that it was one of the strongest decisions and most beneficial that I made, although I have regrets that I had them put in to begin with now that I am the midst of the aftermath, but I know that I will get through and with the support from everyone here I find no reason to believe otherwise. Make the decision for you and follow through with the strength of your heart and soul - you will know then once you have embraced your decision that it is the right one for you. Take care. Guest guest
--Zelli This is pretty much what happened to me, when I started to think that the implants might be the cause I went a little crazy thinking that if I was wrong I would REALLY regret explant, THEN, I prayed that I would find peace, and I got a raging burning where both implants were and the right one had a very sensitive spot, BINGO, I then KNEW that all these crazy symptoms (last diagnosis was fibromyalgia but really did not totally fit) I am not a freaky religous person or anything, but to me that was the answer to my prayer! Now mind you, I have had these two years, been getting sicker every month, and had on and off discomfort in implants but the PS said that was normal. The final straw was within the last month and the decision became easy. It is different for all of us, but don't you find it odd that we all these symptoms that often don't fit anything but are so similar? Go with your instincts, and I hope you find peace in whatever you decide. HUGS I know this whole ordeal is so stressful, Nan - In , " zellysmada " <jessicaadams01@...> wrote: > > Hi, Ladies: > I visited my PS yesterday. Guest guest
Zelly, I went to my PS last week and he told me the same thing. However, I had him schedule a day next week to take them out. I don't know FOR SURE that the implants are making me sick. However, the doctors cannot find anything else that could be making me this ill. An unknown virus? Maybe, but I want to feel better as soon as possible and don't want to keep wondering if it is the implants. Also, after reading many of the womens' testimonies on this site, it is obvious that we all have MANY MANY of the same symptoms. Listening to your gut is important. Over the past 6 years, I have made appts with various PSs to discuss taking them out even though I wasn't ill and didn't have a good reason. I think something was telling me that they needed to come out. Good Luck with your decision. I will continue to let the group know how I am doing. Hopefully I will have an amazing positive recovery to share. Thinking of you and wishing good health. Peace, --- zellysmada <jessicaadams01@...> wrote: > Hi, Ladies: > I visited my PS yesterday. Guest guest
Zelly, Please keep in mind that your doctor is working for YOU! . . . You must feel that he will do what you want done, regardless of how he feels about breast implants - otherwise, he may not be a good choice. . . Please talk to him some more. . Offer Dr. Blais' paper to him and see how he responds. Regardless of what he says, saline implants DO make women sick! Rogene

Guest guest
Dear Zelly, Don't let the professional opinions get in the way of common sense. The plastic surgeons are biased...they all believe that implants are man's gift to women and they tend to protect them with a ferocity that gives me chills. It makes them blind to the pain and suffering that many women are going through. I am sure that your plastic surgeon means well, but be strong and don't be intimidated by him. He is, after all, just another human being that walks this planet with us, and will someday have to answer to God for all of this works upon this earth. Trust your intuition (which is God-given!) that you are doing the very BEST thing for your body, by freeing it of these horrible toxic time bombs that do not contribute to health, but rather rob your body of it. The devil comes to steal, kill and destroy..he will steal your joy, kill your faith, and destroy you physically if you let him....implants have his marks all over them! Don't let him win....you are doing the right thing, so have no fear. Seek God's peace and you will find it! Hugs, Patty I need some reasurrance please!!! Hi, Ladies: I visited my PS yesterday. I don't doubt his professionalism, he is excellent (one of the best surgeons in the Republic of Panama - where I am from) and he practices explant suregery following the en bloc procedure and the drains (excellent!) . He even guaranteed that he would perform the surgery so that I am estetically acceptable after removal. The downer was that he gave me this whole speach about how the side effects of saline implants are anecdotical and that there is no evidence that my implants have caused me to feel so badly with dry eyes, lack of sensitivity, fibromyalgia, etc. and that there are lots of people with these same symptoms that do not have implants.Of course when I left the office I felt so concerned because I thought what if I don't get better. I know that this is the best decission--to get them out!! But I just need to hear it AGAIN (although many of you have already shared how you have improved now that you don't have implants) that YES it is the best thing that I can do.I have butterflies in my stomach but I got the nerve write him an e-mail and tell him that I will go through with this anyway no matter what the doctor or anybody else says, I just want to feel better.Your words of encouragemnt are greatly appreciated.Zelly Get your own web address.
