.. I know w/c pays for traveling

Hi Margie,

This is new to me! W/C hasn't paid one cent for any travel for me, including to the 18 IME's they sent me to. We did however on the advice of our attorney save all the mileage's and toll receipts to get to the IME's. I keep saying when this w/c stuff is over, I am going to somehow write a book about it.

Take care,

W/C has paid for all of my mileage so far. All I have to do is send them my mileage and a month or so later, I get the check in the mail.

Tonia,

That is great, we can't even get them to pay for medications or treatment.

Take care,

Sandi How is yours caused by botched surgery and it is w/c? I know we probably discussed it in Maine but my RSD memory has forgot lol Yes w/c does pay for travel but I think there are alot of w/c people who dont realize that or who dont bother to keep up with it. I have one friend in Fla who has a driver that w/c pays for!! Sorta like his own chauffeur. Love, Margie

Hi Everyone. This is about the traveling issues with Workers comp. I can tell u from the off set of my injury they paid for everywhere I went, including PT three times week, my therapist once a week, Dr's appointments, testing and even their own damn IME's.

I fought for it, but there is a transportation company that each Insurance company has a contract with for cases like us who cannot drive. All u need is for your Dr. to restrict your driving to none at all and then start asking your carrier.

I hope this helps.

Sandi,

I can't get medicines or treatments either without fighting to get them done. I've been on conference calls with my lawyer and case worker a couple of times cause some med or another wouldn't get approval. But, for some reason, they don't complain about the mileage. Go figure.

Tonia,

The mileage is probably much cheaper for them to pay! Right now and since Feb. 2000, w/c is paying nothing for me, no treatment, no meds, nothing. We just save all the receipts and supply copies to our lawyer and he handles it from there.

I deal day to day with pain like the rest of you all do and I am not wasting my energy fighting with w/c, that is what the lawyer does and he is very good. W/C knows that they have screwed up royally and are trying to find a way to wiggle out of it..... won't happen!

Good luck with your laywer, hope all goes well.

Hoping for Pain Free Days,

Sandi
