Those who follow in your footsteps are very fortunate indeed. > On Friday, I was told that my application was APPROVED, and in a couple of > weeks, we'll be getting a MicroLink in a few weeks! Even better! > Bad news, my husband and I are divorcing. My condolences (or congratulations, whichever is more appropriate). I hope things go smoothly for you with as little heartache as possible. Guest guest
OK, it looks like what we were told was correct. When my son was diagnosed we went to a support group to vent. The counselor there told us that the parents of a child with special needs were more likely to divorce than parents of regular/normal (whatever that is) kids. We were told the divorce rate was double at that time. From all these " Been there done that " post's I guess I am lucky to still be with my husband....(well, that is debatable some days!) We have had rough times with all the stress of having an ODD diagnosed deaf child and an ADHD/ODD/asthmatic diagnosed hearing child. My hats are of to you gals that are doing this alone Elaine
