I got elected to go by Dunkin Donuts and get 2 dozen donuts for the

office's morning meeting. As I walked out with the 2 boxes, a car

full of young guys went by and one of them yelled really loud " Lady,

you don't need them donuts! " and they all laughed. There was another

man in the parking lot who looked at me like he felt so bad for me.

The rude comment hurt my feelings so much, that and their laughing

rang in my ears for weeks. The look of pity in the man's eyes hurt

me, too, even though he was trying to be nice. It was truly a wake-up

call. I never got out of the car at Dunkin Donuts again - but I would

sneak through the drive-thru after dark - what an obsession!! I'm

truly glad that's over!
