Looking for something to grab their attention. If I had a lot of money I would include a dollar bill in each letter so they would at least want to read the letter about RSD. Guest guest Posted October 11, 2001 Report Share Posted October 11, 2001 Atleast once a month I do send an E-Mail to Montel, several times I have been sent back and E-Mail the same day stating that they have recieved my other E-Mails and do have someone doing research on CRPS-RSD. I hope I am getting somewhere with this as his show is the only one to have responded to me. I send the E-Mail under Show Ideas My Personal Story. So far I have gotten farther with Montel than any other, maybe if some of you would like to send an E-Mail in the same way it would help. I personally think that blasting one talk-show inundating them with E-Mail and Personal stories from all of us is better than trying to get all of them to listen. And for the show idea..I am actually trying to write an article to send to the magazines and see if they will publish it. So far I have just started since I seem to have no energy anymore. Anyways, I am like you and just want people to know that this is real and not something we just make up. I parked in a handicap space yesterday with my kids to go shopping and this lady tells me I should move my truck so someone who " really " needs it can use it. I unfortunately just got upset and let the kids do the shopping for me while I stayed in the truck. Oh well some people are just that way. Sorry for my rambling. I know what you mean, I also drive a Truck, a Dodge Ram 1500 4X4 with an extended cab. When I go to the store and park in a Handicapped Spot I also get the looks, and the comments sometimes. I just try to be patient and let the person know that I will beat the heck out of them with my cane if they don't back off. Just Kidding, it is frustrating though, I usually just tell them to back off and offer to show them that the number on my tag and my drivers license number match, since the process to get a lifetime tag in Michigan is difficult they usually get embarrassed and back up appologising. At the moment it is South Dakota but it depends on where the Air Force sends my husband. The base doctor keeps saying they will be able to reset the nerves. So far no luck at that but at least I can hope.
