Guest guest
Thanks for replies!! I am in Lexington, KY and don't even know where to begin to find a neurosurgeon in my area. I did locate a Dr. Rosner in NC, but he practices out of a small 103 bed hospital, so I'm not really interested in going there. THen I've located a Dr. Heffez at the Chicago INstitute of Neurosurgery and Neuroresearch. Any other ideas? Also, my Chiari I has now been confirmed by my current neurologist, ( was first noticed by a neurologist in a 1991 MRI and then a neurosurgeon in 1998) but was never read that way by the radiologist who do the official reading). I know from my research that it is often missed. Do you know how you interpret the size? Do the millimeters have to be calculated, rather than the actually mm on the MRI? Thanks for all of your help. I'm sure that I will go for a surgical opinion, now that I've heard that you can indeed have good days. I was starting to believe that it was psychological since I started feeling better. I still get symptomatic, but since I'm not working, I get to lay around alot and stop all activity when I start feeling worse. I'm sure that's helped me get better this month.
