Guest guest
OWWWWWWWWW. In our old house, as we got larger, we broke our pinky toes, both of us, both sides AND the ones next to them. We had to pass that chair leg coming and going for 10 yrs. So, you'd hear the SNAP, hear the collection of " words " , and then watch 'em swell up and turn purple. Docs said there was nothing they could do with pinky & next, so both of us have OK toes, but the nails on all 4 (or all 8, inc his) flip up on the ends, which indicates a broken bone. Just because it's tiny does not mean it doesn't HURT though! If you can only hobble, then you will have to do more deep breathing exercises and at least wave your legs around. You've got to MOVE them a little for blood clots. Honest. I don't CARE about walking for exercise, as that will come in time. But you gotta do the wiggles in the bed, lady or I'm comin' for you. And I'm not nice when I drive too long without a bathroom.. Thanks, http://www.vitalady.com For info on PayPal, click this link: https://secure.paypal.com/affil/pal=vitalady%40bigfoot.com Strangeness You wouldn't believe this weekend! Went to Dr Weber for my pre-op on Thursday. Only worry is that my BP is REALLY up. Well, I've been worried about that and the fact that he wants me to exercise so much. So, I've been getting the exercise in and he told me to double up on my meds which I've been doing and my BP is still up. Took my BP yesterday and it was still up. If I can't get it down, they will likely cancel surgery. That scares me. Then yesterday, I went and jammed my toe. I wasn't sure I did it too bad, but it was still hurting this morning, so while I was in getting my blood work done this morning, I got x-rays. I broke my da** toe!!! Didn't crack it, fracture it, I BROKE IT. Saw the x-rays, it's like the entire corner of the joint is separated from the bone. I'll need to see the podiatrist tomorrow to see if I have to have a pin put in it. This is yet another deterrent to walking after surgery, I don't need this!!!!! I'm going to walk no matter what happens with my toe, but dang, why now? Shoot, never fails, does it... -------------------- Tammy near Seattle, WA Open RNY - 4/30/02 345/345/170 BMI 49 - Dr. Weber

Guest guest
Depends on who's talking. For ours, it's about 75 " common channel, so assuming you start with a total of 300 " and 60 of that is used for the alimentary side, that'd be 165 " . OR about 300cm. However, those who measure proximally, you'd try to boost it up over 200cm Thanks, http://www.vitalady.com For info on PayPal, click this link: https://secure.paypal.com/affil/pal=vitalady%40bigfoot.com Strangeness You wouldn't believe this weekend! Guest guest
It takes a lot of meds to make me unawares of my surroundings... I think the only time I was really drugged was the night of surgery when they were taking me to ICU.. I remember someone telling me that you were standing behind the gurney where I couldnt see you.. but I did hear your voice speak to me.. so maybe I wasnt all that drugged after all... Guest guest
Hi Tammy; Your day is finally here. I hope you are ready and as calm as you can be. I will be so happy to have you on the losers side. My thoughts and prayers are with you for an uneventful surgery and a fast recovery. Are you having a lap or an open? in Pa. Guest guest
Tammy you are most welcome ! Did you have your last meal for a while yesterday or today if it is today enjoy and have a good day ! Strangeness You wouldn't believe this weekend! Weber
Guest guest
Tammy - I am sorry to hear that you broke your toe and especially that your blood pressure is out of control. Do you think this is hampered by nerves about the surgery or has it been really high for a while? Maybe if they gave you a sedative to take it would calm you down and possibly lower your blood pressure? I don't know, I'm just guessing it might help. Take care. I think the only time I was really drugged was the night of surgery when they were taking me to ICU.. I remember someone telling me that you were standing behind the gurney where I couldnt see you.. but I did hear your voice speak to me.. so maybe I wasnt all that drugged after all... I think I have a fairly high tolerance to pain meds......LOL I didnt mean to blow your cover!!!! Hugs, To Subscribe to 's weekly FREE Newsletter send an email to GBCookbook-subscribe@... Guest guest
Dr Weber doesn't do Lap, unfortunately. I'm anxious, not really nervous. That will hit when I'm trying to sleep tonight I'm sure! -------------------- Tammy near Seattle, WA Open RNY - 4/30/02 345/345/170 BMI 49 - Dr. Weber Re: Strangeness Hi Tammy; Your day is finally here.
