Good Morning Selene,

All that good information was from Glenn. As I too

have been on Prilosec for a very long time due to reflux.

I will have to talk with one of my doctors about that.

Maybe I should just wait until we get to Fort Lee, VA

towards the end of December.

I haven't read all what has been going on. It seems

that you will be having things worked out with PT. That

will be great. I can't believe they were trying to forse

you to use ice. That is the most wrong thing for RSD.

Maybe they need a few sites to look at themselves. Just

because they have the degree in the field, it doesn't mean

they know everything. As they think they do.

Take care of you. Peace be with each and everyone of

us. God Bless.

always, Debbie G in MD

Has anyone tried Nexium after being on Prilosec? I had been on prilosec for over a year, and recently due to insurance, my doctor put me on Nexium. I found it didn't help me as much. Anyone else?

Hi Kris,

The same thing happened to me. I was on Prilosec for a long while. When I went to refill it the insurance company wouldn't pay for Prilosec anymore so switched me to Nexium. It didn't work at all and made me very sick. So I take Zantax 75 now twice a day and it helps plus it's much cheaper and otc.

Take care,

Louise

Margie,

I had my doctor switch me back over to prilosec. The option to increase the

Nexium was there, but he decided to switch me back. Doesn't really matter, as

I have no insurance anymore. Good luck with yours working. let me know if it

helps, maybe I will shoot for the increase instead of paying for a new

medication.

Thank God the Dr gets both of those for me free!!! He always has . he is

great about that. He knows I cant afford those two meds so he just sets me

up to get them every 3 months. Right now they are giving me samples of the

nexium to try it until I see him on the 13th. Then we will decide on which

one to stay on. If you need to take it all the time, tell your Dr you flat

cant afford it and I bet he will get it for you. Margie

Kris,

My doctor is staying with the prilosec. Many insurance companies want to go

to Nexium but he wants me on the Prilosec, we are having good results with it.

Hoping for Pain Free Days,
