Sometimes I get that hon. It's like ya catch a rib. Mine have a habit of moving

around and stuff. I really had it after surgery. But if it keeps up or gets

worse call your doctor. =) Dawn

Discomfort on Right Side

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone else has had this feeling. When I move around it

feels like something is hanging or catching on my ribs on the right side.

It isn't painful, but very uncomfortable.

I don't know what mine are doing, but they feel like they are hanging up on

my organs or something like that. Your ribs slip because of the surgery?

It's below my ribs way on the right side. It is uncomfortable all the time,

but especially if I lay on my left side.

Thank you . It is way to the left, around the same level of the belly

button. I have had it since the surgery and figured it would go away as I

healed. Instead it's getting worse so I will call the doctor's office this

morning. I hope I can explain it right.

Trapped gas? Ovarian pain ? just ideas of why you are feeling discomfort

Hi ,

Thanks for writing. It isn't painful, just very uncomfortable. Kinda like

there is something in there that shouldn't be taking up all the room. I am

almost 5 weeks post-op.

I had that same pain too and at about the time I thought I would call the

doctor to get it checked out, it was gone. I think it was just part of

the

healing process. I know it is very painful and it worried me also. I

couldn't lay on my left side either but it was the right side that hurt,

especially when moving. I was about 3 to 4 weeks post op until I realized

it was gone.

Hi Jeanne,

I don't know what a hernia feels like, but I have thought maybe that is the

problem. There's nothing sticking out though that I can tell. I'm afraid

the doctor is going to say that he has to go in to see what the problem is.

- I would think that first they would try to see the problem from the

outside, with x-rays or ultrasound. Let us know what the doc says.

I called the doctor and he is in surgery. They said they would call back

after they speak with him. The nurse said it sounds like muscles, but

didn't want to make a diagnosis of course.

I hope he wants me to come in cause I will be returning to work in another

week and don't want to have to take time off so soon. Last week my work

called and begged me to return. My boss didn't want to close the books at

my office. I called the doctor's office and they said I wasn't released

until May 13th. Since I knew she had told her boss I was returning I wrote

to her and her boss to say I was sorry I couldn't return yet. She wrote me

back saying she didn't understand what I was talking about. She said she

only called me to see how I was and if I knew when I was returning to work!

I guess she forgot about the part where she said, " Please, please, please

come back. We need you. Even if it's only part time!!!! " Well, I never

responded to her email. I just can't play games like that.

I will let you know what the doctor says. Thanks for caring!

CINDY- did you have any test done yet? To bad it;s not WED then I

could of had a chance to meet you. I go Wed the 8th at 10:30 for

nutrition class then see the Doc at 11:45am. I hope everything is

ok. could it maybe just be a hernia? I have some discomfort on my

Left side but when I saw him on the 22nd he said it was normal. Let

Hi Tina,

I will call and see if I can change to Wed. She said his schedule was very

tight, but it's worth a try. I would love to meet you!

Haven't had any tests done yet. I will write later and let you know if I
