When Shanna (my 12 year old neighbor) gets out of the hospital next week I will ask her to write to Rosie one on one. We have a newspaper article with Shanna's picture that was written about her last year. We will send that also. You never know when something good is just around the corner. love, Sandy P.S. Guest guest Posted October 13, 2001 Report Share Posted October 13, 2001 , Shanna is not connected to the Internet. That is why I am on for them. Several people are snail mailing letters to her. She loves to get mail but her pain is at such a high level I don't think she can write them back much. She is very serious about her schoolwork and reading. That is the only thing that gets her away from the pain sometimes. She has had this going on four years now, I have only known about this for one year. Took two years to diagnose her. If it weren't for the American Society for RSD/CRPS her family and Shanna would be completely devistated. The angels on this group have turned their life around and have given them love and hope. I'm always hyper when Shanna is in the hospital. There is so little I can do for that child who is always sad and in pain. It breaks my heart. That is why I write a lot. A thought --- has anybody on the group ever tried Qigong for their RSD? A guy named Ken Cohen wrote a book on it. It is a medical exercise they do in China. It's done here too. Very slight movements, nothing strenuous. Completely non-invasive. Said to shrink brain tumors, cysts, balance the body so it can heal itself. Supposed to really work for chronic illnesses.
