Guest guest Posted September 13, 2001 Report Share Posted September 13, 2001 I have been reading the posts to this group and have really appreciated hearing from those close to the incident. It is really difficult to comprehend the magnatude of these incidents. Back in January, we had a disaster here (in Hutchinson, KS) involving natural gas explosions. At the time, it seemed almost overwhelming for our small department. That was nothing compared to what you are dealing with now. That incident gave me just a little experience in knowing what those involved in this situation must be feeling. I can appreciate with more clarity the feeling of hopelessness and exhaustion, and the guts it takes to continue doing their jobs. Know this. Everyone involved with emergency services are thinking of you, wishing there was something we could do to help support your efforts. My prayers are with all involved in the search and rescue operations. It is a very difficult time for everyone. I know from the incidents we had, when it's all over, you will emerge stronger.
