Guest guest
Our daughter gets AEA (Area Education Agency) speech services 4x per week. 2 times per week from SLP and 2 times per week from paraeducator. 20 minutes each session which would be 80 minutes of speech per week. That is about the max we can get out of our AEA, and if the services are good it is a very good deal. ---------- To: Listen-Uponelist Subject: Date: Saturday, September 25, 1999 4:30 PM ---- I'm curious what types and frequency of service other children have. ie speech 3x week for 30 minutes etc.

Petya gets speech from the SLP four times a week, 30 minutes each session. 2x weekly two kids, 2 Xweek one on one. Also her TOD, who she spends more than 50% of her day with, is a certified speech path as well. So she gets a lot more in her classroom. Guest guest
Is anyone out there in the state of Washington? I could use a little help re: IEP and placement for our son. He is deaf with a cochlear implant and no other disabilities.

Look out Goofy! Is anybody interested in getting a group from the Midwest or the lower Midwest together? We are from southcentral Kansas. I am sure there is a Super 8 someplace we could invade. Guest guest
Jane Anne: Sorry to hear about your fall! Hope your feeling well soon. I have conquered my balance problem, by wearing good walking shoes, something that gives you good support. I buy Easy Spirits. I also want to know what kind of a walker you use. Is it the type with 4 wheels? Thats what I have, and I haven't fallen in years (2 to be exact). I take that back, last week I was bending over in my closet, lost it, and fell and broke a lamp I had standing on the floor ready to go into a yard sale I plan on having. I think it's also important as to what kind of rugs you walk on. before I sold our home, I had these plush carpets with thick padding. They look pretty, but not good for someone with a balance problem. Now in my handicapped apartment, I have nice low inside/outside carpeting, and it works fine. There is so darn much you have to give up with a disease like PLS, but it's just a change in life styles, and we have to adjust accordingly. There I am starting to babble again, but you have to stop and analyze what caused you to fall, and how to avoid another. I remember when I wore loafers, and blamed my falling on being a klutz, when all the time it was the shoes. So take care, and hang in there! Guest guest
If you don't have a beard another two options are: 1) type it in Word perfect and save it as an ascii document 2) type it in notepad (available under accessories on your windows selections) and save that. Now, I am also slow so I don't know how to upload- guess I'm hirusitely challenged (hum? think it will work if I quit shaving my legs?)
