I'm not a doctor and I don't have enough information about this woman and baby to know what to advise. How old are her implants? What are her symptoms? You haven't provided any of the basic information (or if you did, it wasn't attached).

However, if the mother is having symptoms, I am concerned about her conitnuing to breastfeed since there could potentially be bacteria or something else that is causing her symptoms and that could get into the breast milk.

Has the breastmilk been tested for any possible problems? That would be a first step but might be difficult to find the right person to do the testing in a timely manner.

Also, since the mother has already breastfed for 8 months, one option would be to stop breastfeeding. Although I think the American Academy of Pediatrics prefers that women breastfeed for a year, most (if not all) the data on the benefits of breastfeeding is based on 6 months of breastfeeding. So, there is no reason to think that stopping would cause harm, whereas continuing could potentially cause harm if the mom's symptoms seem related to the implants. And if the mom is allergic to something she is exposed to (whether implants or something else), the child could be too.
