Hello Lea

I am glad told you to keep intouch as we miss you.

Lea,Rogene told me to email Dr Nickolson about antibiotic therapy, if you improve while on antibiotics is it possible he could help you?

I didn't realise you still had capsule left in, ohh Lea I really wish we could do something about all this mess.

Keep close to us at the group.

Lots of love

Sue.

Dearest Sue:

made me come downstairs this morning. He feels that I must stay in touch with this wonderful group. Thank you for you kind comments, but I am no longer very strong. I think that when women who have been injured by these devices are more at risk of severe depression. My heart goes out to all of the ladies who have been injured by these faulty devices.

Honey, you are also very strong and that will help in your healing process. It might seem as though you will never be the same again, but I know that you will. Today is a better day for me because I am back on a massive dose of antibiotics and anti-fungal medications. My doctors just do not understand how much I improve while on antibiotics. We have no test results yet regarding the ultrasound because I forgot and it will not be done until Oct. 11, my mind is so busy with other problems I say the wrong things and make many mistakes. I know that having the capsule left in my right breast is causing me many problems. One day soon, I hope that I will be well enough to be cleaned out.

Sending many hugs to you from us both...love...Lea

Yes, but you really want to avoid antibiotics as much as possible, because of Candida....taking them is a very good way to get it, if you don't already have it from implants! :(gibbense@... wrote: Hello Lea I am glad told you to keep intouch as we miss you. Happy New Year to you too. Sue, just know that we are all here for you. My doctors have told me not to have mammograms; however, the people who know that I still have a mess inside of my breasts insist on a mammogram. They always do an ultrasound as well...not sure why, but they seem be extra cautious with me. My left breast is mostly loose skin, but they have found cysts in that breast as well!

Stay well dear friend, love always.........Lea and

Dearest Lea,

Thank you for your lengthy and informative reply. I have ignored this for too long as well, What has prompted me to look at this seriously is the fast heat rate I have been getting, as I told you its been waking me from a deep sleep and when it happens I sweat like mad, I only had two episodes of this last year but so far since christmas I have had three....very scary,I know its getting worse. I have had numerous ECGs that show nothing but I am going to my Dr to ask for it to be done again.

What test do I need to have for sticky blood, is it a blood test and what is it called?

Thanks for your help.

I really hope you make it over to London it would be fantastic to meet up with you.

Dear Lea,

I typed in sticky blood in the computer and came up with the name Dr who practices at St 's Hospital London, he is the leading name in the hospital who has done some fantastic work in the sticky blood syndrome. I know a lady in this country Dawn Beaven who has seen this dr and he believes in silicone problems, a few years ago I asked my dr to refer me to him but I heard nothing. Away you can have the test done at one of the labs and I have emailed and asked about it, and asked if Dr does a private clinic, I don't have the money but I will get it somehow if he does.

Sorry to go on but I am quite excited about this.

Did you have problems with boils and abcesses? I am suffering real bad with them at the moment, its difficult to sit down and I have small ones on my legs and groin as well....ouch painful !!

Love Sue.

ps you're wonderful.

Darling Sue:

This is very important information for you. I had breathing problems long before I went into respiratory distress; however, I ignored them, but I know now that I should not have done so. I went into respiratory distress in 2000, and that is when my doctors put me on a nebulizer and sent me to a respiratory therapist. Honey, this was the beginning of a horror story for me. My symptoms were very much like yours, and I was under enormous stress at the time. Please do not get stressed over this, because it will make it worse. I was so short of breath that I had to sit down for a few minutes to recover all the time. It got so bad that was taking me to the medicentre several times a week. My doctor would put me on oxygen and give me double doses of anti-inflammatory drugs. Then, one day, I went into full respiratory distress and ended up in Emergency. My blood gases were so low that they thought that I would die. Later, my heart became enlarged on both sides, along with a stiffening of the left ventricle. We were so afraid, because we knew that our Kathi ("Pureheart") had had the same symptoms and no one had listened. The doctors were very concerned about me, and I was fortunate to end up with the best pulmonary specialist ever. He did all the right things, and I was diagnosed with chronic bronchitis and asthma.

Before that, though, in 1998, I had pneumonia, and I was told at that time that I had a pulmonary embolism (PE) and could possibly die. (Later, I complained that the Emergency doctor had made this comment.) That was my first PE, and my symptoms were like an asthma attack. This made my case very interesting in 2000 to many of my doctors, because I had another PE this time, but they did not tell me until later.

They did not put me on blood thinners until January 2004, after I had broken my leg in November. My respiratory problems flared again, and, like you, my breathing was difficult and shallow. This time, however, they did a VQ-scan because of the broken leg, and again they discovered PEs...the cause of the respiratory flare-up. With a typical PE, you cough up blood, and there are other symptoms that I was not displaying. Because of this, my doctors saw me as some kind of medical mystery. Then, as on the other occasions, they told me that I could die! I told them that I would not, and as you can see I am still here. My breathing still remains at 40% of what it should be, but fortunately I have not had to use the nebulizer or take any drugs such as Prednisone since they found out that I had sticky blood syndrome (Dr. Blais told me years ago that most women who have had silicone breast implants develop this condition). It seems now that the blood thinners have in some mysterious way improved my respiratory condition; moreover, we know that the antibiotics have been saving my life for years by dealing with the underlying infection problems that I have. I have never smoked in my life.

This is when I stopped writing my story, because I was too sick. We both went through so much more, and I could never begin to tell you what we had to endure...but I will one day...soon.

I cannot remember if I told you that is going to start doing his PhD dissertation, as an external candidate, with the University of London. He has to meet with them this year to start it off. If I can travel, I plan to come with him. That way I will be able to meet you to talk about all these problems and what we can do about them.

Honey, please make sure that you get the proper care now. Even if you have to go to Emergency, because breast implants do cause asthma and other related problems in many women.

Just had a thought.... Have you read the Harbut study on asthma and silicone breast implants? If not, I can send it to you.

Sending tons of love, and please stay close to me...Lea

Dear Lea,

I was wondering if you could give me some info please?

You have said that you had breathing problems, well mine seem to be getting worse. I feel as though when I breathe the air I take in is thin! I can take deep breathes but its thin??

I do not have any other way of explaining it.

What did you do to improve it? I cannot see my doctor until the middle of January.

Hope things are settling down for you.

Love Sue.

Dears, Sue,

I have these boils and abcess as well on the groin area back and

buttocks, my Dr. said it was a bad staph bacteria, I have had these

for at least 15 years. Theya re nasty and leave scars, I had one

removed that left a hole, The dermatologist that removed it souldn't

believe the odor of it, he kept making comments, you think he would

be used to that sort of thing, I think it is silicone trying to come

out and bacteria. Just my opinion

Dearest Sue:

I never had these symptoms in the night, but my heart would beat so fast when I lay on my left side . The night sweats were so bad that I would have to get up to cool down. My heart is better, and I can lie on my left side now with no problems. Do you have nausea with these attacks? What you have described to me sounds like a panic attack, but do not accept that. I always had an anxious feeling in my stomach, and it would literally take me down as the day progressed. When I lay down, it would get better! Another symptom that I had was a little cough in the mornings only, and this lasted for a few years, before I went into respiratory distress. I think that the worst symptoms were that I was so short of breath all the time and the deadly brain fog. These symptoms are also better now, but I still have a hard time taking a deep breath.

I had so many cysts, but the worst ones were around the vaginal area. My doctor removed about 20 little lumps in one day, and fortunately they have not come back. I had cysts on my face, neck and foot, as well as on a number of organs in my body. At one time, I had a large tumour on my liver, which eventually disappeared! At present, the cysts are all gone, except for the one on my kidney.

Sue, you need to have quite a lot of bloodwork done. Would you believe that my infectious disease specialist tested me for AIDS three times! Just to rule it completely out. Many doctors have called our disease "Chemical AIDS" because it is so much like the real thing. I have a book called And the Band Played on; it is full of stickers. This book has helped me so much, because there are so many similarities between AIDS problems and ours. I have another book that I have used as a reference book as well. It is called Mitral Valve Prolapse: Benign Syndrome? This book is great, and it, too, has become filled with yellow stickers. I have yet another one called When Living Hurts...our Lynda will know about this book.

I am sorry that I have made this so long, but I want to try to help. An infectious disease specialist might be a good choice. As well as a hematologist. Have you been tested for MGUS and H-Pylori. One last question: which type of breast implants did you have? This is so important!

I wish that we had a doctor or a nurse in this group. Where is ?

Stay close, love always.......Lea

Lea My implants were silicone other than that I could not tell you anything else. The only thing I can say is when they were removed and given to me they both had R on them obviously a couple of spares....can you believe that?? I hate to think where they were stored and how !!!! I did not have anyone or anywhere to complain to as I had them put in at a military hospital that no longer exists.

Thank you for your reply I dont think it was too long I really need the information, I have been faffing around for far too long letting things get worse.I have not been tested for MGUS or H-poly in fact I have not been tested for much really, my Dr does not believe in the silicone thing, I tend not to talk to her about it anymore just go in there with different symptoms and see what she has to say. All of my blood work has always come back normal.

Love to you,

thankyou sooooo much.

Dearest Sue:

I had palpitations for a few years, but they have gone. We have had so much trauma to our cheswalls that we should not be surprised that we have these symptoms. I am glad that you are moving forward with your breathing problems, it could be asthma. Have you been tested for MVP?

Honey, please try to learn to relax, this was one of my problems. I was always so stressed out over everything, this can cause many problems for our weakened immune systems. At least your precious heart is okay.

Stay close, sending love to you......Lea

LEA

Hi Lea,

had another Drs appointment today, I got the results of my blood test from the hospital but not the results from my sticky blood test. My results were perfect and my thyroid was 1.5 which was better than my last of 1.1 so I guess I can rule out thyroid.

It was a locum Dr again, I explained my breathing issues and she has arranged for me to see an asthma specialist on the 20th of this month, she deals with all breathing issues not just asthma so I maybe getting somewhere. My latest ECG was perfect ?? so all the palpitations remain a mystery, but at least I suppose they are not dangerous, they just feel it when they are happening. I have a booklet on palpitations which I will read up on later but I think after so many tests I have to accept I just have to live with it.

I hope you are doing better, I felt awful yesterday so had 5 mins in my sauna it made me feel much better, I have been scared to use it after it made me feel ill last time, I am glad it made me feel better I will start to use it more again.

God Bless

Sue

No downside . . .

Coconut oil is can feel really oily. A little goes a long way. If you use to much, you'll feel like a greased pig!

It takes a few minutes to soak in. . . If you feel oily after 10-15 minutes, you'll probably be happier if you wipe the excess off.

It does wash out of any towels, sheets or clothing well.
