YES! I totally agree....

*Update* My doc nearly killed me!

Ok, the nurse called me back to tell me these were indeed my lab

results but couldn't explain why the collection time was different or who's

DOB that was. She said they didn't have another patient with that name. I called the lab director too. After checking into it, he also said that somehow the wrong DOB was entered for me.

Would this be enough confirmation for you all? I still feel uneasy about it.

I'm also confused as to why there are two different cholesterol screenings on my report with different results. They said one was from their in house lab and the other was from the hospital lab. Why would this be checked twice?

Why would I have different results from the same speciman?

Here is the difference:

Cholesterol 206.3

HDL 42.4

LDL 138.4

On the other report(Testing same speciman)

Chol 199

HDL 49

LDL 126

Does anyone know why this would be?

Dana

I'd tell them that I want all the tests repeated, at their cost, to clarify what is going on.. the discrepancy is not acceptable and since no one knows why the info on the paper work for DOB etc. was changed... the safe route should be taken. The error was not yours, it was theirs, and so the new lab work should be at their expense, NOT that of you or your insurer!

IMHO

Ok, everybody altogether------MAKE them do the tests over at their own expense. No, you shouldn't have two different labs doing your cholesterol twice. They have goofed and don't want to admit it. This is a dangerous thing, and they need to redeem themselves and you.

The computer---someone fed info from two people in, when they weren't paying attention---my opinion.
