Ok... the GORE (not AL) is the triangle area between the on or off ramp of a

highway and the highway itself... Ya know where people pull into when they

dont know whether to exit or not.... thats it !!

And to further differentiate them, the gore point on the " far " side where

an on-ramp joins the highway is a " reverse gore point. " If it's pointing

AT you, that's a gore point and if it's pointing in the same direction

you're traveling, it's the reverse gore point. (But that's very specific

and most officers don't make the distinction when referring to them.)

i've never heard of that term before...and i've been in the biz since, well,

for a long time. i've learned something new today.
