dear, I have been on antibiotics for years. I think that I have taken Cypro, but I do not remember when. Most all of my records have been destroyed, but my urologist had me on an antobiotic for my mild kidney disease for one year. I really think that it might have been Cypro. Do you still have kidney stones? I have a small kidney stone, but it is not bothering me. Your doctor should know if you must take antibiotics, because he is the person who is caring for you.

Please take care, and know that we are here for you...love...Lea

Not everyone is sensitive to silicone - I'm not sure that Dr. Kolb is into that area yet. . . You might aske her about the silicone hypersensitivity issue and see where she stands. . . There are alternatives.

Antibiotics should be used carefully - only when needed. And, one should be careful to replace the beneficial organisms that will be killed off with probiotics.

While on antibiotics, be very careful not to eat sugar or refined grains. Fungal organisms feed on these.

I was reading on Dr. Kolb's website today, plastikos.com, and there are

articles that address silicone sensitivity in them.

Lea,

Cipro - and all other antibiotics - kill off the beneficial organisms our body needs to protect us from the negative organisms.

"The Maker's Diet", or "The Great Physician's RX" can explain it much better than I can.

You should take antibiotics when you have a good reason to take them. NEVER take them without knowing why you are taking them. . . example: my sis and her hubby routinely buy antibiotics when they travel overseas where they can purchase meds without a prescription . . . then, if they have a problem, they start on antibiotics without a doctor's supervision. WRONG! I won't go into the problems that have resulted online.

When a doctor prescribes a medication, ask why THAT med, if one would get better without it, etc... Too many docs think that, when a patient comes in with a complaint, they won't be happy unless they leave with a prescription. Be your own advocate! . . . Ask, ask, ask. For a serious infection, the doctor can have a culture done to determine exactly which antibiotic will work. Cipro is a broadspectrum antibiotic that targets a number of organisms, but not necessarily the organisms that you have. The doctor is prescribing it because he/she believes it will target your problem.

Personally, if I had a kidney infection, I would take antibiotics. . . but I would also be drinking pure crandberry juice and tons of water - as well as avoiding sugars and refined grains while taking probiotics eating fermented foods. If I didn't get better after one round of antibiotics, I would insist on a culture being done.

Rogene,

I am worried about my left ankle, it is swollen and red and burns. You can see the redness and feel the heat. The right ankle, fine??? I am also wondering how you think is the best way to rid fungals???? Yeast????? All naturally of course. If anyone has any opinions on why my ankle does this please jump in here. Or maybe someone else experienced these same symptoms Can Mold grow and multiply in us? Or does it stop growing once the implant is gone. If I had mycobacteria growing inside of me, how do I get it out for good. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! God Bless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

, I've had great success with Oil of Oregano capsules for bladder

infection and other ailments. Do a bit of research...it is stronger

than most anti-biotics, proven scientfically, and is also an anti-

fungal, anti-viral and helps with joint pain. Good for alot of

things. I looked it up on the net and was amazed. I've been taking

it for awhile now. Only thing to watch for is it naturally thins

blood, so you can't be on a blood thinner at the same time, or if you

have surgery, you have to stop taking it two weeks previous.

Otherwise, it's a wonder!

Love,

Sunny :) xo

Rogene,

Thanks for the post.... I was wondering more about the mycobacteria, since Dr. Blais report says that the gross bacteria found in my implants have the characteristics of mycobacteria??? I have no idea what that means? If any info please help. God Bless!!!!!

We are ALL hosts to a huge group of organisms. . . . When we're healthy, the good organisms work to keep the bad ones in check. Mycobacteria are a relatively new development - man-made organisms created for biological warfare that have gotten loose in the public.

Things that help with fungal issues are raw, crushed garlic, oil of Oregano, Olive Leaf Extract, grapefruit seed extract . . . and probiotics like Acidopholis and Garden of Life Fungal Defense and Primal Defense. . . as well as foods like yogurt, kefir, sauerkraut.

Things that encourage fungal growth are antibiotics, steroids, stress, sugar, refined grain and processed foods.

If anyone hasn't read "The Maker's Diet", or "The Great Physician's RX" - both by Rubin, I highly encourage them to do so. Dr. Rubin explains the necessity of creating a healthy digestive system so ones health can be restored or maintained.

None of these things are quick fixes - like we've come to expect from prescription drugs. However, they don't cause the side effects that drugs do. Since conventional doctors aren't interested in making us truely well, we need to take the reponsibility of learning about this for ourselves. .. . A good naturopath can be invaluable though.

Basically mycoplasma bacteria is an organism without a cell wall. Terribly tiny. It can penetrate virtually any cell in your body where it replicates and does it's damage. Treatment is a small dose of antibiotics several times a week for as long as two years. . And anti-fungal diet is a must when on antibiotic therapy.

Dr. Garth Nicolson, professor, scientist and cancer researcher did a lot of research on mycoplasma bacteria after both he and his daughter contracted Gulf War Syndrome. . . . You can learn a lot about what he learned by doing a web search for "Garth Nicolson mycoplasma bacteria".

He can help you find and educate your doctors. He will answer personal emails.
