You can also post it to the group in the pictures section as well.

addicted to diet pills

I know in this group we have spoken about many kinds of diet pills but is it

possible to become addicted to diet pills? I have been taking them and now i

can't stop. I don't even know if they work or not but i think i would have a

panic attack if i didn't take them. Is this feeling mental or can they be

addictive? HELP.......

Okay dont flame me----But a couple of questions

1) What is your height

2) Is you current weight 134 or 120

Im guessing your goal is 110------I would say it is very possible to be

addicted to any type of pill. My farther was taking multiple vitamins-----now im

not sure how this works---but the doc told him you should take Vitamins---not

eloparating on the subject---Dad just started taking this one and before long he

was overdosing himself>>>>>>His blood count was way off when they did blood work

and for the longest time they never could figure out what he was

taking>>>>>Until on bright Nurse asked-----Glen i want you to bring in every

pill you are taking----His reply was " Does that include all my vitamins????Cause

im going to need a box..........anyways YES its possible

I think it is very Mental. I am the same way but I've changed what

kinds of diet pills I take. I feel that when I take something in the

morning it proves I'm dieting and tricks my mind into trying to eat

better. If I dont take anything then I don't feel like I'm doing

anything and tend to say " fudge it " and eat. So even though I know

this it helps to take something. Now I'm taking CLA which I bought a

new brand that says Tonalin. I heard thats the one I should be

taking. Also certain ones do give you that extra boost. For instance

Diet Fuel gives me energy and a huge headache so I cant take that yet

Metabolife which also contains Ephedrine does not give me the

headache but does give me the energy. I dont take either anymore b/c

of the controversy and I do believe ephedra/Ma Huang is bad for you

as it makes your heart and body do things it would not normally do.

However there are other so called Fat Burners that have substances

like grapefruit extract/chromium picolinate/cinnamon powder/L-

carnitine etc... that whether it does anything or not it can't hurt

and it gives me that mental fix I need to do better and eat healthier

without the side effects. HTH :) San

You can get addicted to diet pill eassily - even though you don't

feel the effects anymore you still feel you HAVE to have them.

Worse, you can get addicted to the felling you get from them - that's

bad news, then you start taking more and more till you end up like

me - body junked out and damaged organs :-(

Also, you can get metaly OR physicaly OR both addicted to not only a

diet pill per say, but any pill at all ... just haveing something,

anything at all in your body become the point --- even if it does

nothing for you.

It is a hard thing to kick - I know that well. Even after heart

damage and other things - I ran out and bought up all the phen-fen I

could get ahold of before thy took it off the shelves...now that is

pretty sick, to take something you know is killing you and not even

working to boot!

Let me e-mail you privately on a few things that could help...
