Lessee, the " decompression " from work issues is well

under way. The group of four of us who made the mad

dash to Wendover, NV to do some gambling (after a

brief bit of time at the Meet & Greet session Sunday

night) arrived there at 2315 hrs. We left at 0415 and

arrived back in our hotel rooms at 0550 hrs. Kathy

Cline hit the slots in a BIG way and won some serious

change. (I managed to take over 2 hrs to lose $20.00,

which is - IMHO, pretty darned good.)

Our heads hit our pillows at 0600 hrs. We hadda

<ahem> hustle to make it to the Opening Luncheon at

noon. We missed the morning opening ceremony (and Bob

Sawyer said it was a very inspirational one.... )

Those who stayed at the " Attendee Welcome Party " last

night said it lasted well after 2300. It was a VERY

well-attended event, folks. Not a lot of Console

members, but I did meet a couple of 'em that sought

out our hastily-set up table of goodies. The eats

were great, the rooms were packed, and everybody was

having a great time. Inflated beach balls were batted

in the air, there were snapshots taken of folks behind

one of those " circus-type " cutout " muscle body "

figures, colored sunglasses were given to everyone,

and it was a lot of fun. (The four of us just needed

to make this gambling run, or we'd have stayed later.

Only 115 miles one way....)

Lunch was darned good, and the classes in the

afternoon were either exceptional or pretty good (that

I attended). Have now run into the PSTC guys and a

few more old friends, plus added more new friends from

around the nation.

Tomorrow is the Grand Opening of the Vendors

Exposition and classes resume in the afternoon.

Tomorrow is also MANAPCO night.

That's it for this report; this group of six gals here

have got the doors dividing our shared rooms propped

open and we're deeply involved in telling tall tales. <grin>
