Hi everyone,

My husband has a week off for xmas from tomorrow and so I 'm gonna cleanse

his system . Before I start, I thought I'd ask you all to give me some

advice on certain important things to do and not to do during

cleansing.(From your own experiences. ) It is gonna help a great deal to

hear from people who have been thru the cleansing and felt better after it.

Thanks in advance.

Can he take all the supplements he is on during cleansing??Roopa

Hi Roopa,

I just got done with a 3 week cleanse. Its best if you can eat lightly

while doing it, at least not eating any bad foods that might be

tempting. Christmas would be too hard for me to cleanse, that is why I

did it before. Probably will have to do again in March if I am not a

good girl through winter. Anyway drink lots of filtered water, and add

lemon to some of the glasses, squeeze the juice into glass, do not put

in rind unless you know it has not been sprayed. During my cleanse I

had some really strange pains that moved all around and some days I was

tired. Tell you husband to rest if he needs to. Exercise is also good to

keep things moving out. A good cleanse should get the bowels moving

really good, if for some reason they get back up then stop the products

until you get things moving. I take my supplements when I cleanse and

espeicially pro-biotics are needed. I take them several hours after I

take my cleanse products. I am sure others will have some good

suggestions also.

This is the way I usually cleanse my body. No supplements except fish oil and

magnesium. I start with a Paragone Cleanse. Then I do the Murray orange

canister and follow it a few days later with the liver cleanse. Then I do a

general cleanse and make sure thereafter I have plenty of probiotics in my

system. Make sure when he is cleansing you give him light meals with good

protein. No caffeine or sugar of course or artificial sweeteners. This is just

the way I do it and there are better ways I'm sure if you want to get into all

the juicing and things but I don't have time right now. Make sure your husband

gets protein throughout the day (4OZ portions) in the form of fish , turkey,

free range chicken....Best, Kathy

Hi ,

Thanks a lot for your prompt reply yesterday. He finally did move his bowels

around 9 pm again yesterday. It was a good input from you and and it

really worked. I gave him just flax and he cut back on mannacleanse. It

helped. He had loose stools today and felt better w.r.t an uneasy stomach.

He is done with his 3rd day of cleansing and Gosh! he couldn't take it. He

is very tired, sleepy and forgot to mention that he just couldn't move .He

struggled a lot to walk. He said there are pins and needles in his soles. I

told him they could be a cleansing reaction.Isn't it? I somehow feel he wont

take it further. Was wondering if he could do a mild cleanse on and off. And

take a lot of immunostart for heavy metal detox. He anyway doesn't eat THE

BAD food.He can abstain from it always. I know there's more to just eating

the bad food. But I need some advice on the type of cleanse I can stick

to.Roopa

Hi Roopa. Try the flax and nothing else for awhile. Lots of water. The flax

should go right through. He may have some neurological issues that won't allow

his bowels to move properly. They could be inflammed, causing his immune system

to go into action. Getting the slippery mucilage in there might ease the

process. 1 tbs. whole flax to 3 parts water, once or twice a day. I wouldn't

take the ImmunoStart yet. I think a liver cleanse is next. For that, olive oil

and lemon are good. It's a food source, so there is no bad reaction. 1 tbs.

olive oil and 1/4 fresh lemon, once or twice a day. The lemon will initiate the

production of digestive fluids and together they help dissolve the fats stored

by the liver. Here's hoping you have success. Merry Christmas,
