Guest guest
Hi Edie, That kind of hip pain is sometimes associated with sciatica. Have you had that ruled out by a good chiropractor or body worker. I had sciatica for years and it can be very painful and prevent you form sleeping on one side, or sitting for too long without severe pain. It will also shoot all the way down your leg in extreme cases and cause pain or numbness in the foot. I have since learned how to work pressure points when my hips starts to act up and I even know a few simple adjustments that I do myself on the side of my bed. I have saved myself many trips to the chiro. As far as your other question about taking other vitamins, I personally think most people are deficient in them. A recent study showed only 4% of the population was getting enough of the nutrients to sustain health. Vitamins and minerals are essential for every function of the body, then you need essential fatty acids like fish oil, and antioxidant to help rid you body of dead cells and free radical damamge, and enzymes and most people are completely lacking these. Its sad we no longer get what we need from our food but its just something we have to learn to except in this day and age. Get on at least a good multi and some fish oil, that will help alot. . Guest guest
/: I'm glad I'm part of this group, it amazes me every time I get on the computer, there's always someone who comes up with a thought that hadn't occurred to me. Although, I mentioned to my massage therapist last time I had been experiencing some discomfort on the right side of the sciatica and asked that she work on that area. She did some but it didn't help, I hadn't found a local reflexologist and someone suggested I look in the Yellow Pages and I found one, imagine that! For someone who used to access information in my career, that hadn't occurred to me. I know that sounds pretty shallow, but things we take for granted, there's always someone out there that takes us in the right direction. Someone had told me there were none in the area. I should just be a little more active in my research. Recently, I had the t.v. on and there was a " paid program " on and it was talking about a vitamin that had something from 12 of the food groups that our bodies need, like you said, the Omega 3, Omega 6, all the vitamins and fatty acids, etc. The best part is it's in a gel capsule and isn't hard to swallow. I think it's called twelve in one. It looks promising and should replenish what my body is deficient in. I used to take a bunch of vitamins and when I quit, I knew I was going to have to do something. Especially now that I'm not strong enough to cook. I'm very blessed but more so with this group. Thanks for your input and information. Guest guest
Hi Edie, I have learned a lot of stuff on the forums also. Mostly I have learned that I know nothing!! Make sure any supplements you buy are from companies that have Good Manufacturing practices and are reputable. If you have a website I can check them out for you. Its very hard to put lots of good nutrition in one gel capsule so I would be leary and they are most likely synthetic, but don't know for sure. Guest guest
Hello , I just went to the site, it's called " 12inOne " It's the first of the list, the multi-vitamin. I appreciate your in-put. I've never been good at taking pills so was hoping this would be something I could do instead of the handful of vitamins. Let me know what you think. Guest guest
Hi Edie, There are many redflags with this company. First you have to agree to buy something before you can see the products or read anything about the company. I did a quick search on the company and found lots more bad press and warnings. Their site is not secure and there is more but not worth looking at. I would not buy their products, if you have already commited for 30 day trial then you will get them and you can then tell me whats in them. All legit companies have normal website with information onf the company, the staff, the quality, the raw materials used and that kind of thing. You can check out the vitamin/mineral that I use, its whole food, no synthetics but you have to take 4 per day. Like I had said earlier, there is suspicion when a company can put all that stuff in a small gel cap. Guest guest
: I did get the first order but it was just the shipping charge, I can call and cancel any further shipments without further charges. Thanks for checking this out for me. After I got your last message, I went to their web site and I found the same thing, I looked for the link " about us " or something like that and didn't see it. I'll call them today. Thanks again, Edie Re: Funny sensations Hi Edie, There are many redflags with this company. Guest guest
Hi Edie, I would be curious to know the ingredients for future reference once you get the package. If a company claims to have a huge list of ingredients and its all going to fit in one pill, it would make we wonder. YEars ago when I first started taking supplements I was frustrated also by the amount of pills I had to take. Now I just realize that if I want to keep my current state of health its got to be. I take around 20 pills per day plus powder also. If I am feeling stressed or like yesterday shopping in a mall, then I will take even more .
